INTRODUCING THE FX DRS TACTICAL

Just thinking a 380 mm barrel kit version would be cool looking in .177 and .22. No need for high power / velocity for paper or novelty targets in the back yard or range. I watch the American air gunner on the outdoors channel and keep thinking ranges should offer shooting events like they do on there. Lots of fun stuff that’s safe in rural areas. I know the 500mm is fine but with a moderator it looks like a sniper version of the AR.

Sorry but that is one of the dumbest platforms to bring to the US! Everyone worried about regulation well here you go! There airguns why do they need to look exactly like firearms!
I don't think so, especially now. I've had for 5 years a full auto select fire M4 BB gun that is almost indistinguishable in look, weight and control from the real thing. I haven't seen any extra scrutiny in that time

I was just thinking 400mm

Even though this gun isn’t my style I must complement FX for their creative innovation. As always FX is trendsetting and their guns are becomming more and more air efficient. FX are pushing the standards to new levels. This benefit us all.
36 ft/ibs in .177cal with 50cm barrel is amazing. No need for a Kentucky long stick anymore to get this power. Maybe their standard DRS with a classic wood stock can do this?
I'd really like to see FX publish shot count at the max. listed power level...

And by the way, has anyone seen this CF air tube? 230 bar to 250 bar is 10%, not 30%, so it must have considerably more volume than the aluminum one...

Me too.

I am guessing 10-15 shots max. For a casuel hunter that might be just right taking into consideration it is a lightweight gun for easy carrying(thats what I like) depends ofcouse the kind of hunting. Many airguns today I would say are made for a bench shooting tiny groups. This new DRS would be a dream to carry through woods for occational pestcontrol. I have seen somewhere airtubes can be made in titanium. That would be dandy.

or deliver the CF air tube or come out with a mid-sized plentum for the classic many have asked for. I think this will be a real winner for FX. I have never owned an AR. I never felt a need to own one as I couldn’t use it here in PA for hunting. I believe the best self defense gun for the home is a shotgun. So I have a tactical shotgun. I have been wanting to get a .177 pellet rifle that I could put open sights on to practice offhand shooting in the yard. Just want to keep my shooting skills up for when I shoot my PB competitions which are open sights off hand at 50 to 70 yards. This may fill the bill Although a whole different look. I shoot the old classic falling blocks and break action rifles. But regardless it’s still trigger pull and sight control that matters. Got to sell something first though.
I really agree with you on the open sights issue.. myself I'd prefer the classic.. but as far as I know there's no way to put open sights on it.. you can with this one..
I wish they made it a option at least for open sights on all rifles.. wasn't that long ago most came with open sights but you still could add a scope.. now most don't even have a way to put open sights on them.

The latest innovation in the DRS platform. Following the success of the DRS Classic a traditional
sporter rifle and the high-performance DRS Pro, which dominated its debut by clinching both
1st and 2nd places at RMAC PMC.
Question for you about this statement, were those winning guns "Stock with PRODUCTION components" or modified?

The reason I bring this up is the 2 DRS platform guns that I have had come across my bench in the Production Stock Form were what I consider to be "Hunter" accurate at best..

I feel the same way about the whole DRS lineup, one step closer to regulation. These are not firearms, why make Rem 700, AR15 clones???

I really don't understand this argument. In most competitions...things are not left 'stock'. In motocross... factory riders usually have better equipment than the guys without sponsors.
Why would FX get criticized for this? Other manufacturers could do the same thing. Why is FX the bad guy for trying harder?
