INTRODUCING THE FX DRS TACTICAL

The longer I've owned my PCP's the more I started liking the "set it and forget it " mentality. Even with my Maverick. I tuned it for 25.3gr pellets and never looked back . My bases are covered up to 34 fpe so the 47 fpe Maverick is my higher power pcp . So not having external adjustments isn't a big deal for me anymore and I'm not trying to shoot a pcp out of its best tuned position . I also prefer not having gauge's hanging off my pcps .

The drs tactical appeals to me because of its adjustable stock , light weight, long pic rail and really like the long arca rail that is a heavy add on to most PCP's. Plus I have many different stocks and AR accessories already. It's nothing to do with the military wanna be that so many refer to . I started building ARs from kits and then selling them for a small profit when they became legal and stopped when the laws changed here. I use them for HD , hunting , pesting and bench shooting. I really came to like the platform and could care less about the stigma that goes with black rifles. Besides many people think the PCP's I have are ugly and that's fine . I don't buy them because their cute or because of the wood grade or to impress anyone . They are a tool and a hobby. Not something to enter into a beauty contest. I do like beautiful wood stocks but it's nothing I need to enjoy shooting airguns. Accuracy and function are my biggest concern and I think FX did a great job at a reasonable price.

Hey , we do care as we have been continuously working the last months on the issues some people experience. 👍
Hello, if you could find a quality control process for all the FX air rifle at the end of your production chain just for test the leak after 3 shots because actually for example on 10 panthera sell there have 4 of them that have leaks... It's a reality and it's a shame because you manufacture good product and you follow your way... Sometimes with to much marketing... 🤣 But it's business. Your last drs tactical will please new PCP shooters to start with an affordable price... now shooting enthusiasts who have been practicing for many years and who are looking for precision at long distance with Slug we expect other things and at the moment it is with your competitors. but it is the game of the market 😉

Well i sort of get that M-LOK deal here.
Here on the DRST the cage are so close to the tank/barrel that you can not do that, opposite the new Black wolf in tactical outfit ( pipe ) its protective cage / rail is spaced out wayyyyy too much and look like a afterthought, but will have no problem hosting M-LOK.

Also BW in its normal attire, stock is the same bottle or pipe, just some add-on on the pipe version ( that grey bit ), and IMO that also look silly with the pipe floating way higher than the botton of the stock

BW hand guard / lower rail sort of make me think of a cricket bat.

Sorry maybe I was being a little harsh!
But at the end of the day this is all about profit over common sense! To each their own it's supposed to be the American way. Lol
FX is a business like any other, isn’t one of the primary goals of a business to make a profit (and in the case of FX also kick ass products)? Are you aware that FX is a European company, and that in the rest of the world (next to the US) people aren’t allowed to have firearms, so a tactical model that looks like this is a welcome addition to the airgun and shooting sports community. Are you also aware that taste is something that differs from person to person? Personally I think it’s the bees knees, and ordered one immediately! Will be nice to have something that I can use for some backyard friendly training because 556 is pretty expensive these days here in Europe since the Russians invaded the Ukraine.

Indeed trade between people, and making a buck, is what make the world go around.
And i am opposed to anyone that want to hinder this.
It is probably not the best approach but alternatives tried in big or small ways around the world are for damn sure even more horrifying.

I have no qualms with FX but at least on same old same old i want to try other things, had FX made this one easy adjustable like my Maverick or a impact i would already have pre-ordered.
But alas, i will have to wait and look for other things it seem.

Being a firearm guy all of my life, I hate the bulbous bottle on the average air rifle !
The shot count of my DRS Pro 25 700 is on par with my 22LR or my 204 Ruget 10 to 15 shots. No big deal load a magazine top up the air.
The DRS is a solid, simple light weight design !
Now this tactical version might be pushing simple to the Max, but it definitely looks like a solid rifle.

I can possibly see a DRS Tactical 25 500 making it's way to my house.
I can relate to your last line in your comment. "DRS Tactical .25 500mm making its way to your house", that was my choice also and its on the way....

Know I don't need it,but ordered it

👆That right there! 😂

One thing I love about the tactical model is that I can finally shoot a quality PCP scoped AND with (45 degree) open sights mounted thanks to the long pic rail. That alone is of such tremendous value to me. I shoot rats inside stables for instance, some of them under 5 yards distance, which causes parallax and focus issues with a scope.

Honestly, the versatility of this thing is amazing without breaking the bank! All this for just under a 1000 euros and fully customizable?! How can anyone complain about that. I know I can buy an Impact, but these things are 3 times the price of the DRS Tactical. Besides, if you don’t like it, it’s just another gun with another purpose so FX can make another group of fans happy. It’s not like you don’t have any choices with their (or any other manufacturers) product lineup, right?!

I haven't seen it mentioned here or in other threads but does the top rail have any MOA built in? Also, for aesthetics reasons, would there be some overhang if a Magpul PRS or PRS Lite stock is mounted? It looks like the rear of the receiver where the receiver end plate is located is not mil-spec in size.

I'm referring to this area here...
