The longer I've owned my PCP's the more I started liking the "set it and forget it " mentality. Even with my Maverick. I tuned it for 25.3gr pellets and never looked back . My bases are covered up to 34 fpe so the 47 fpe Maverick is my higher power pcp . So not having external adjustments isn't a big deal for me anymore and I'm not trying to shoot a pcp out of its best tuned position . I also prefer not having gauge's hanging off my pcps .
The drs tactical appeals to me because of its adjustable stock , light weight, long pic rail and really like the long arca rail that is a heavy add on to most PCP's. Plus I have many different stocks and AR accessories already. It's nothing to do with the military wanna be that so many refer to . I started building ARs from kits and then selling them for a small profit when they became legal and stopped when the laws changed here. I use them for HD , hunting , pesting and bench shooting. I really came to like the platform and could care less about the stigma that goes with black rifles. Besides many people think the PCP's I have are ugly and that's fine . I don't buy them because their cute or because of the wood grade or to impress anyone . They are a tool and a hobby. Not something to enter into a beauty contest. I do like beautiful wood stocks but it's nothing I need to enjoy shooting airguns. Accuracy and function are my biggest concern and I think FX did a great job at a reasonable price.
