INTRODUCING THE NEW FX LEOPARD

My 2 cents as that’s about what it’s worth. Matt indicates this is dynamic blocked I believe?? A+ if it is and not just a drs copy. Looks awesome to me. I do disagree completely with its leaps and bounds ahead of the Maverick/WC bt. Yes it has a way better tuning system will give it that but for the majority of air gun enthusiasts what will this thing do that a maverick won’t?? The only real nod I will give it is if you want to shoot at the very upper end of the power of a given platform and caliber. I assume this will produce more power. What it won’t do that the Maverick will ?? Be easily modular. If that is important this might not be as good to some people. The reality is that for most of us this thing is going to sling lead much the same as our mavs and WC will. Given that I certainly still want one despite despising fx regs. lol. All depends on pricing. I am going for a hopeful guess here :
Tube ——1800 ish
Bottle—— 2k - 2100 🤷‍♂️
What do you guys guess pricing at ?

No. Its due to regulator creep. All fx have that
the impact first slow shot is due to the design of that particular platform. Where the magic happens is in the middle of the gun thus requiring a long valve rod that makes it susceptible to stiction after sitting. Now I know nothing about the internal design of this leopard but I suspect we will not see this problem occur like in the impact.

Ill correct my self then. Ive only had the problem with the amp reg on 2x DRS, 1x crown mk2 and 1x panthera. They all suffered from it

A few Months ago my Maverick was leaking like a SOB.
Spent about 30 minutes on it, mostly HP regulator, then filled it to 220 BAR as that was all i had.

Today it still read a little over 220 BAR, regulator read the 60 BAR i left it at on the last outing months ago.

I will say FX should be able to make their rifles easier to work on, i am still amazed they did the DRS rifles with NO immediate way to tuning them, when that would have been so simple to do,

Anyway, even simpler rifles like my Epic two have some strange things, the most annoying one to me is the seal O-ring for the valve close / assist chamber, that ring sit in the chamber where i see nop reason why it could not have been put on the piston / jet itself and so have been immensely easier to replace.

Engineers, are there for the world to have some to rip on.

EDIT; okay my internal clock are a bit speedy, this Maverick job must have been around DEC 1 2024 as i got my new 600 mm barrel a few days before that.

My Epic Two had a anemic #1 shot issue, and i am talking like slug barely able to leave barrel, i fixed that it would seem quite easy, so easy i will not even tell CUZ it make that much sense.

OKAY i will say.
Last time i had it apart i used copious amounts of oil for some parts around / and inside the firering valve.
Been shooting like 4-5 times since then, and i have not yet seen a anemic #1 shot after rifle lying idle for a while.

PS: this could maybe also be a temperature issue, it have been at least 5 deg C warmer lately when i have been shooting.
Dont own a fridge / freezer big enough that i can test this again, and i damn sure hope the winter is a done deal here.

There are lighter version though, right? The compact tube seems like a light little hunter if that’s what one would want.
Yes but still too heavy for me. The lightest is 6.6lbs for the compact. But without a shroud I would only be interested in the 600mm which is even heavier. And for the money Id rather buy a DRS wood stock.

I really like the design and idea though, looks like one of the better FX builds.

The way FX is coming out with new guns just devalues my FX guns. I have come to the conclusion to just not get caught up in the new is better and just enjoy the guns that I own. Yer killing me smalls.
Learning to be pleased with one already have can save a lot of money.

Fx really needs to hire some more diverse group of designers. I'm not asking for much but can they at least hire one left handed designer to help make the guns?

I would love to purchase a Maverick as well as this gun but I don't like eating my mags for lunch. I prefer real food.
you scared the heck out of me till i read diverse :DD was waiting some "FX should hire more LGBTQ+ designers" :ROFLMAO:
