INTRODUCING THE NEW FX LEOPARD

Laminate bullpup stock? Like this?

Nice build, but I respectfully disagree. I think both the Maverick and the Wildcat will go bye bye. The new technology looks like its superior in every way. The DRS and Dynamic are more refined and have better power to efficiency numbers. The plenum located directly behind the transfer port should increase power and reduce the need for such large plenums. Plus the pressurized shrouds should take care of the POI shifts that are so frequently complained about. Of course these are just my interpretations of the features vs benefits. It's almost ironic that years ago everyone was complaining about how stagnant airgun evolution was. Now people are complaining about new technology and progression.

The wildcat based system with a bottle is pretty darn good. I'd be surprised if it went away.

there's two approaches you can take one is the HW approach where they've been making the same rifles for decades and they very slowly change their model lineup and then you have companies like FX that seem to come out with new models every year. I don't think it really devalues what you have except on the resale market of course. I mean none of these new models really make any difference if you're already own a bunch of rifles and you can already do what you need to do with what you have.

I have pretty much been in the Daystate camp for some years now and had ordered a Blackwolf until.......This gun showed up. Its been bugging me this entire weekend. Should I...should I not...Yes I should.

Our gundealer here in Denmark has close relations to Mr. Axelsson and could get the Leopard faster than the Blackwolf. So a Leopard was ordered today in .177 600mm tube version. MY dilemma was there is still no assurance the Daystates shoots slugs with shorter barrels and I am not paying some $3300 for a gun that only shoots pellets a maybe lightweight slugs then I might aswell find another gun for less price and just accept pellets. So I roughly saved $1500 and I added a Hill EVO3 compressor. All this and still a few bucks left. Now I can`t wait. I will never depart from my Daystate Revere and I know the FX Leopard will get along just fine.
It appears the Leopard comes with STX Heavy liner which ougth to shoot slugs, but so long it will shoot the EunJin 17grainers I am fine. The Leopard seems to be a powerhouse and yet compact and build on many years of experience for making bullpups. I have never been a fan of bullpups but this Leopard was a turn-around.

FX, I know you read this forum, I have been with you from the beginning sir, where is the semi-auto?
I have owned 23 of your airguns and currently have 2- M3 compacts .177 and .22, 1-M4 .30 Copper Compact with a 480 cc bottle, 1-.30 Maverick compact with a 480cc bottle and my favorite a .22 Wildcat MK111 compact. All took a going through upon purchase to dial them in. I will not buy anymore of your airguns until a semi-auto compact is available. Trust me, it will be a number one seller! Keep it under 7 lbs with a 300 cc compact bottle and under 32" with a sling quick connect. (Geared towards the Hunter)
When your deep in the woods hunting through the thick a big heavy gun is just a drag. It's greats for all the guys that make videos and hunt off tripods. Just my two cents.

Airgunner to the end.

Where did you buy and to what price? (Er nysgerrig)

Where do they get the "high power" thing? Airguns are pretty much limited to Mach 1 or 1100 fps and most of the newer rifles can shoot the the realm of 950-1050, so what does this new thingy do for me? Maybe shoot heavier slugs to that speed range, but so what?
FPE is based on velocity and mass. Heavy slugs in the high 9 hundreds will produce "high power"

This reminds me of a Glock/sig situation. A gun is a gun and practice is far more important that tech in most situations. The nice thing is there’s something for everyone. I love my Glocks just as much as the latest and greatest for different reasons. My Glock gets thrown around and just works….i wouldn’t do that to a decked out 2011 because they can be finicky if they are not spotless clean.

Options are good for everyone!
