Is .25 cal at sub 12ft/lb effective at taking down pests

The problem nobody is mentioning is the dramatic trajectory arc you will get from 25 cal in sub-12 due to the low speeds. So just be sure to know your holdovers quite well for all ranges since even a few meters/yards difference in range at that slow speed can be a complete miss if going for headshots. This also means you have to first know the target range quite precisely.

Over the 10-yard range mentioned in the OP, you are not going to notice any difference in trajectory.

Assuming it's a fairly std. 25gr pellet max fps is about 464 to keep it under 12 fpe. Puts the speeds on par with a stock 1322. So yeah I guess you can do it...not sure it's my idea of a good time though.
