Is 6X too Much?

I prefer 4x on the bottom end, there's a lot of brushy thick areas here and sometimes it's difficult to keep track of a squirrel as it moves around with more magnification than that. Just personal preference, it's hard to make an all around declaration of what's best as terrain, guns and every person is a bit different and what one likes another won't. Some situations a bottom end of 6x will be fine, others you might be wishing for a 2x.

I ended up ordering an Ares BTR GEN2 despite it's 25yd parallax.

I think the 2.5-15 has 10Y min parallax.

The 4.5-27 can get annoying inside 20Y after a while. This is the main reason I sold the four I had, well and I had the Cronus and higher grade scopes on the firearms so I didn't need them. They just didn't do it for me on airguns.
If only taking occasional shots on 4.5x closer in you'll be ok. The nice thing is the reticle is a tad thicker than on the TAC's and the ETR which will help on low mag and you'll have the illume.
