Is airgun interest going away?

I will confess to not reading this entire thread, perhaps others have mentioned my reasoning. I'm new to the PCP hobby, perhaps my insights are useful. I would not be into PCP's but for one primary reason. I can't discharge firearms in my backyard. If not for that one pesky law I would have suppressed my .22 collection rather than buying in to the PCP hobby. Mind you I dig it, but my PB's are not going away.
Inflation is hurting your business, no question, I too am on a fixed income. Here's another thought that is impacting.
Silencers and moderators are far more popular and available than ever before. Lots of PB gun guys are adding cans to their .22's especially and suppressed MSR's in .300 Blackout are very popular.
I really think the increased availability of moderators is impacting PCP sales.

Before I bought my Maverick, I checked on parts and schematics. Good to go.

When I bought my Notos, I did the same thing.

Nothing...

From thier, it's a choice. A pair of veneer calipers is under $20, a set of good drivers is $20.

I simply fixed any issues I had. You should do the same.
unfortunately though I too have veneer calipers and you didn't mention that some of the o rings for the notos are definitely not available..I was just to the point of putting the barrel in the lathe and making it fit standard I rings and longgundallis helped me out getting those special o rings from you.. so currently as far as I know you are the only source for those.. I get it that they are wear parts, but they should be a standard or common I ring..
thank you for getting them to me..I was extremely frustrated too, not being able to source them at any of the industrial supply places.

Not only availability but the market is flooded with them, prices are falling and my last can took 24 freaking hours to get approval! Not 24 months like in '21.

I get it with the .22lr and I have a nice collection myself. But many times 12-50 fpe is far more appropriate for around my house . I can shoot PB's in my yard but haven't grabbed my .22s in years for pesting. A .22lr does stay by the bed for Coyotes but it's also for running them off when they gather too close . But ya my firearms collection isn't going anywhere but I do shoot them way less because of ammo cost and noise. A can would be a good solution especially in .22lr if 100t fpe+ is needed . With CCI standard running $12 for 100 rounds pellets are much cheaper for punching paper . I can't leave out accuracy at 50 yards . A couple of my PCPs match or outshoot my CZ452 American or Volquartsen barreled 10/22 at 50y .

.22 LR can be downloaded to whatever power level you might need. Not the case with .22 PCP, the .22 PCP can't be realistically uploaded to match .22 LR. For those that love to shoot and target shoot a lot PCP can make $en$e. I think the average joe is more likely to buy .22 PB for their small caliber needs. IMO PCP guns will remain a niche, tho it is a growing niche.

although I haven't fully tested my Condor 22 caliber with it's 24" barrel but with heavy pellets it sounds more like a 22wmr than a 22lr.. it's going to have to be moderated and likely tuned down from factory with a smaller top hat..I don't like how loud it is currently..
the Condor SS 22 is pretty good from 0-6 but over that it's still too loud.. the regular Condor 22 shot through 3 rough cut 1" pine boards.. guess I should compare it to my golden boy..

Thus my use of realistically. Sure one can get a .22 PCP up to powder burning levels of power with application of enough $$$ and time. Our imaginary rancher? The juice ain't worth the squeeze. With a < 1 K budget our rancher could purchase a .22 rifle, a can, and a tax stamp. Simplicity itself and cheaper still if one breaks federal law with regard to the can. Heck factory threaded barrels are now common for .22 LR guns. As is the sale of firearm silencers, 20 years ago cans were very unusual, not so today.
IMO PCP guns will remain a niche, again a growing niche but a niche nonetheless.

Define growing. Supply? Demand? Popularity? By what metrics?

If the world had 100 people, and 1 of those people like something, and the world population grows to 200 people, and now 2 people like that something, did that niche really grow or did the population...

or a airforce Condor.. I'm waiting for a Donny FL because it is too loud straight from the factory. sounds more like a 22wmr than a 22lr and it's just a airgun factory.. with the power wheel midrange like it came from the factory..
now the Condor SS is more pleasant to shoot.. light pellets power wheel 2 and heavies about midrange like factory.. now if you leave it at factory 6 and put in light 14 grain pellets it will make a unpleasant crack.. I prefer quiet

Quiet is always a good thing. I wonder if anyone makes a reflex mod for the Condor?
Most of all ,just enjoy!

I like shooting PCP's but they are a total pain in the butt and a powder burner is so much easier and cheaper to get into. Pellet guns whatever you wanna call them are fine and serve a place but people can go out and buy a Ruger 1022 or a cheaper savage or Ruger rimfire for what we consider the price of a cheap PCP. Sure it cost more money to feed it but you don't have all the BS of O-rings tanks bottles compressors fill lines to worry about. Just grab the gun and shoot. And don't say oh cheap gun shoot just as good as a $2000 Gun 99.9% of the time that's not true. It's the quality that cost the money. But yeah people have lost interest because money is tight and what limited money they have they want something that's long lasting and don't need a lot of upkeep.

But big difference is I can go online to like parts direct and get a part ..lol. 😜
Not necessarily, I just replaced a 6 year old Bosch, the icemaker went out and Bosch discontinued it with no replacement. It had other problems too so I just replaced it. My new Kitchenaid is 6 months old and already has an issue. I have a 33 year old Magic Chef fridge that was the original when I built the house, moved it to the garage still going strong, never had a service call and it was American made. Seems everything now has the same issue, built in obsolescence.
