Is Caldwell dead shot fieldpod really bench rest quality ?

A portable bench for around $50. All you need is a saw, piece of plywood and a set of fold-able horses I bought the fold-able horses at home depot during a promo for about $20 each. The legs fold so I am sure pretty sure it will get into the cubicle.

no it is not as solid as a good bench, its better than some benches ive seen. Caldwell makes at least two, the best one is worth the higher price. its very good for shooting turtles-snakes in the creek but it aint a bench.

Think biggest issue for me and my V .25 BP is the length of gun. The photo above shows the minimum length . With a full sized rifle adjustment for length is fine but short BP IMO opinion isn't stable enough. 
Would not use for precision bench rest also I don't trust the locking devices to hold gun as they are weak friction fittings.
Good for prey ambush shooting though.

I started with a Caldwell, then went to a Bald Eagle, and now await delivery of a Randolf. These are fine rests but not the best in terms of what you call "Benchrest" quality. If you want to shoot 750s or close to it, then only the best will do, but it will hurt your wallet seriously. Get a Randolf, Sinclair, or some of the others on the following websites:
