Is it possible to manufacture an air rifle barrel to fit a projectile?

What I am wanting to know is can you design and manufacture an air rifle barrel to suit a certain diameter projectile. Various reasons why I’d like to do it this way. Availability of slugs is an issue where I’m located.

The caliber is .25. The slug diameter is .2505.

I want to get a barrel maker to drill out a barrel, Im needing the drill bit size diameter.

I will also get a custom button die made up to cut the rifling. I also need the dimensions of the land and grooves for the button die.

I can’t import air rifle barrels from where I am. I can only get a local barrel maker to do this job.

It's inexpensive to just buy a sizer for your slugs .001 larger than the groove size.

What did your barrel slug at?

I worked at a barrel manufacturer here in the us. Its takes big heavy special equipment to make even mediocre production grade barrels. You can't drill a barrel without high pressure oil. Also you can't re-drill a existing barrel with a hole without breaking a drill. Its $100.00 for a blank here in the us. Making barrels is not for hobby lathes.. The Pratt Whitley deep bore drilling lathes were 20 feet long probably excess of 8,000 lbs. Oil does tank to drilling lathes like 800 gals. Then you need a reamer..and then a button rifle ing machine and button.. So $100,000 or more to make a poopty barrel. Green Mountain barrels are $50.00 and up quality pretty good.

What everyone seems to miss is he can't import just a barrel.

well even though there are very smart people on this forum what you are asking is absurd at best
you say you have a barrel maker and that is who you need to talk to and the bill on this project will be in USD about 500 to 700 making it 750 to 1000 dollars Australian
the project costs makes no sense whatsoever for an air rifle barrel or most any barrel
and this comment make no sense either

"Yes but I’m still left with a straw for a barrel that has questionable quality and is uneven throughout the length of the bore.:"
