I am always telling my friends please don't bond a CF tube to a liner, no real need for that. Some listening and some no.
This what I did:
- wash the liner clean and dry with acetone (or 90% IPA)
- place as many Dura90 orings you want, 3 or 10 or 20 if you wish. The 6x2 mm oring (or 6.3x2.2) in Dura90 is tough to pull on the 9mm liner you will see that. But a liner is dry these will never slide....
- clean the barrel inside walls from any remained residue and lube with some light and running silicon oil, better then a silicon grease. In example that silicon oil for lubing the treadmill rubber track.
- you will see that sliding in-out the liner feels resisting but still relatively easy.
So the liner is dry and the barrel tube internal walls are lubed. A Dura90 oring set will be tough enough to dampen the oscillations in the liner and you can still separate with some effort. The original FX design was 3 orings only in Dura60.
You listen or not, I did it this way
