I don't want to get it taken away or confiscated at a customs check. Also don't want to get in trouble. So do you US guys think is okay to order a Hume moderator to be shipped to the US from Huma?

I don't think there is a need to as you can buy LDCs here. I can't imagine it being a problem, but personally I think like you and if the thought arises I always go with the most sound advice. In this case, that would be buying from a vender who has the LDC brand you like here in the USA.

In my experience (4 orders since last Black Friday) it is not only safe to order directly from Huma-Air, but the delivery is unexpectedly fast.

Yeah - I've never had a problem with ordering from them, but reg parts, not moderators. Have you guys ordered moderators direct from Huma? Just don't want the Alphabet org knocking on my door.

Sorry, I speed-read your first post and missed the part about you wanting moderators.
Some time back (maybe last Aug or Sep) there was some discussion on AGN regarding a revision of policies at U.S. Customs which was impacting the importation of air gun moderators, as well as some air guns which had moderators. They were not being allowed to proceed, but being 'turned back.'
A little later there was discussion on the site that Krale was no longer accepting moderator orders from U.S. customers.
My personal experience is that I ordered a specific Air Arms moderator from a U.K. dealer, and it shipped about the middle of last August. Spent a good amount of time in USPS Status 'Processed Through ISC Facility' (which actually means arrived at that facility), then the status changed to 'Inbound Out Of Customs' on 10/14/2020. And that is how it has remained to this day.
The vendor already refunded my money, so I'm not even following the shipment any more. Was it lost by the USPS? Did it get stopped by U.S. Customs because it contained a legal air gun moderator? If Customs stops something 'illegal' do they return it to the sender, or seize and destroy it?
I don't know the answer to any of the above questions. All I know is that I never received my moderator ordered from Europe last August. I don't think you have to worry at all about an Alphabet org door knock, but as far as receiving your purchased item, YMMV.

Here is the thing... I don't think customs even sees the huma packages.... I think the declared value is so low that they bypass customs. I think you're worrying for no reason.

I wouldn't worry about, it's airgun moderator that is legal here, didn't order moderator from Huma but did order moderator from Europe before and never have a problem.

If buying lcd and you worry about the fed. You probably be doing something illegal. If you aren't then there isnt anything to worry about.

I ordered a moderator from an overseas AG store. The customs declaration stated: "muffler for airsoft toy"
Don't know if that particular dealer experienced issues in the past, but it was received without any long delays.

. . . doing a search of the forums here using "ordered from huma" and I landed on this thread. A few others popped up too but they were a year or two old - this one looked relatively recent.
I just ordered a reg from them a few days ago and . . . . crickets. Nothing. I got paypal notification within minutes that they have received my order but since then . . . . crickets.
I like what I read from a few of you above re: stuff showing up surprisingly quickly considering its coming from overseas ( for those of us in the U.S. ). I did shoot them an e-mail earlier today from work . . . . we shall see. I'm just looking for a status update.

That is odd and it sounds like something did not go correctly with the ordering process.
Every time I have placed an order with Huma-Air I will get an automated order confirmation from them nearly immediately. Sometimes it even comes before the PayPal notification.
I have found them to be very responsive to email requests. Hopefully you will wake up tomorrow and find an explanatory email waiting.
