Is JSAR still open?

I sent back my raptor 2 weeks ago because I got one that had the non adjustable regulators on it. Jacob takes about 1-2 days to get back to you email. I have never called them. I am not the original owner of the rifle so I know I am not a “big ticket item” with them....hope to see the raptor back in a week or two. I sent an email Monday and received one back Wednesday.

Because all three of these States, especially California, don’t care about businesses when faced with COVID-19. Supply chains are hard enough to maintain without interruptions by the state government, but with them it is nearly impossible to manufacture something under a lot of the executive orders on the state level. So that being said, we should give a lot of grace to JSAR and Pyramid and all the companies that have been hit with large order numbers and broken or non existent supply chains. However, I would be skeptical myself, and wouldn’t order direct but through a good distributor if they have any. On the customer service side, we will have to just wait and see till these states get less restrictive. As of right now, I know Oregon and California are starting to restrict again! Crazy.

It takes a lot to make an airgun company, but it also takes a lot to provide good customer service. So for those companies like AOA that do so dang well at treating people with care, it is much appreciated.

i bought three aluminum air tubes from JSAR and they were not machined correctly and WILL NOT hold air.i talked to travis whitney four different times from using different methods of contact and each time he said "oh its the first time hearing that".they have a huge fan base at GTA.now like many i stuck with their poopty products.i realize travis whitney is no longer with them,i wonder why?so i glad i only out three hundred+ dollars instead of three thousand dollars.the rifles they produced are to good to be true and we not what that means...

TRAVIS Whitney is the whole issue here. He has his "fan base" over at GTA. All you need to do is a little research and see how he works. He's a "salesman" plain and simple. How many business's has he run into the ground? He pumped everybody up with this Raptor and it clearly wasn't ready for production. Now people have paid and some have gotten products and other are still waiting. A big number of those who got product are having issues................................and he BAILS out. Retired I heard? And then back into another venture..............

BTW - I also wound up needing a Kral sear and the one I got from them (only place in town) was machined horrible, would not fit into the gun. I did some work on it and got it working. Would have been really pissed if I was handy. Most complaints on the forums were quashed due to sponsorship. Now I hear he "owns" another forum? Shameful

Wanna hear a joke? The last 2 valves Travis named that weren't balanced (joke within a joke...he named his failed balance valve after himself and Lloyd sykes, coined the SS valve...man imagine having a horribly engineered valve named after you, released, fail big time, have revisions made by community members, and still fail a second attempt while retaining the same SS name even though Lloyd had absolutely no doing in the second revision...hah, thank god he didn't use my name, I wouldn't let him even if I was paid handsomely ), were both named after snakes (Cobra, and Python valve)

Only a snake would name 2 of his valves after actual snakes... snake oil salesman couldn't be more blatant if he tried.

Oh and the marauder aluminum tube bonanza was wholesomely within roughly 2 months of me independently seeking out such a tube and a machinist (Lee545, did great work btw) to adapt said tube to my marauder. Travis saw the interest in the thread I started (easy to google marauder aluminum tube to discover this history) which to him was dollar signs...ayy, I don't mind having my ideas monetized, nor do I care for any credit starting a trend...but any worthy idea this guy has monetized (ssg, aluminum tube, balance valve) were never ideas of his own. If you look through Travis's post history and some of the ideas he has tried to come up with on his own, you'd have a great giggle...the mans a charlatan.

He's one of the best "re-Inventors" I know.

The best line I got from him was when I bought my Flex and saw it had that POS JDS Airman Chinese regulator on it. I asked about the gun supposedly being built in the USA. His reply was "Well John told me his brother makes them in New Jersey". Yeah, I'm sure he would believe that.

I waited over 8 months to get a Raptor Mini. I got a lot of empty promises and lip service during that wait, but had hopes it would live up to all the hype. I had it about 6 weeks and sold it. I was pretty disappointed with what it actually was. I took what I got from the sale and bought an FX Dream Tac Compact. Much more refined and way more accurate! There are a lot of folks who are happy with their Raptors, but I just didn't want to chance having an odd-ball airgun with no support of parts availability a year or two down the road.

Indeed purchasing a forum ( GTA ) that contains in RECORD of all the years of posts & statements made between 2 manufactures involvement with the salesmanship & narratives spoken ... then DELETE it all is indeed less than owning it or any degree of transparency of whats transpired.

That is a tremendous undertaking to purchase an entire internet forum and censor out all the history.

Kinda makes you wonder why??? I know a lot of usefully information was lost along with the small amount of disparaging info that was deleted. I guess it was a much smaller effort to just delete it all instead of carefully weeding through it and just deleting what you didn't like or didn't agree with!

Doesn't SCREWING IT ONTO THE GUN (while both feet planted in the USA) count? 😆

That's like having the doctor who's about to give you a vasectomy tell you not to worry, he just watched the video on youtube!
