Is Krytox an acceptable airgun O-ring lubricant?

I have a tube of Krytox from work, we use this stuff in extremely high vacuum applications and it lasts a very long time. I was wondering if that would be acceptable lube for my gun o-rings since it's good enough for multi-million dollar machines. I could run up to the store and get a tube of silicone, but I was thinking the Krytox might be better?

Krytox is supposed to be Great stuff, and **safe for rubber / o-rings** which is the most important part when choosing an air-rifle lubricant! 
I use Molykote Valve Lubricant and Sealant, but I'm sure that if I had some Krytox kicking around, I definitely wouldn't hesitate to use it!

It’s a great choice for a springer’s compression chamber because it won’t combust at the very high temperatures that occur, and it is long lasting. However it provides no particular benefit over silicone in a PCP airgun.

if it were a CO2 gun Crosmans pellgunoil would be what i would use, if it were a PCP i would use divers silicone like, Trident pure silicone grease and of course if you had some Krytox i would use it for any of them 

but the stuff is expensive, i use Ultimox 226

Second on the Ultimox226.



Same thing as Krytox205 with the advantage of being much cheaper.

I use it and divers silicone with no issues. I use the Molykote o'ring lube as well. My latest AF project I used the Molykote o'ring lube on the valve assembly but did notice some smoking out the barrel and breech after assembly? 1st time to see this? No other lubes used on this gun. Ultimox is basically the same thing but there are several types of Krytox. I have been using both for many years on spring guns with no issues. Use it sparingly. How ever you use it. No pellgunoil used here at all. JMO
