Is the Dreamline reliable? Good?

I was hesitant to respond to the obvious troll resurrecting an old thread, but since there is a legitimate question being posed I will go ahead. @PCPBarry : At least my instance of Dreamline Tactical does not exhibit any POI shift nor "sticktion". However, mine is a 500mm .177 DreamTac with a standard tube reservoir. I have had it for over 3 years now and I have religiously recorded the "cold shot" every time I have shot the gun. Mine is spot on every time.
If I had to guess, most people have trouble when they start pushing the platform. I run mine at modest power levels and I have yet to have any major trouble with it. I had a slow leak from the fill port at one time, but remedied that with a little silicon oil and repeated charging and discharging the fill line.

I think that the Dreamlines, especially the Classics, are generally under-rated in today's market. They don't have much flash, but in my experience they work really well.

My wife has shot one (.22 cal/laminate stock) for years, which we bought used from UA back in 2020. Never had a single issue with it.

I've had other more 'tactical' looking Dreamlines in the interim, which all shot well but which were all sold (I do prefer a traditionally stocked rifle in general).

I recently purchased another DL Classic (.22/Synthetic) new from UA during their Labor Day sale. I had been frustrated in the previous weeks in attempting to purchase a Zelos (the Umarex site kept crashing when I tried to put my credit card payment through, and my Midwest Gun Works order was cancelled due to their lack of an inventory control system). When I saw the $749 price UA was asking (with no tax and free shipping), I figured that I would just buy a known good gun as opposed to trying something new (Zelos).

And the new DL has not disappointed - as received it is shooting JSB or FX 18.13's very accurately in the low 880's with the TP on High. The new gun has a 500 mm barrel, so it shoots the 18's about 40 fps slower than my wife's gun with its 600mm barrel. But I wanted compact for a light hunter, and in my mind (since I'm not all 'power mad' like some folks), you don't really 'need' a 600mm+ barrel until you get to .25 cal or larger.

Yeah, in my mind the DL Classics are definitely worth a look, and a buy if the price is right. It might be the last inexpensive FX gun which is not built in China (like the new DRS?) I just don't know how long FX is going to keep the DL Classic in their line as the DRS Classic is similar in price and function.

On my recently acquired Tact Compact I was not happy with the POI shifting about ... So I FIXED IT by taking out the soda straw barrel, replacing with a cut down 16mm .177 barrel (Take off ) from a STEYR LG110
Now it shoots !!! Knock it around, backpack it etc and every shot follows path it was sighted in at. Wind and weather still needs adjusting too :p

I have a Dreamline Classic 0.22 with the 500mm barrel. I ordered it from SPAW, they set it up to shoot Hades pellets. It has been utterly reliable and accurate. I have never tinkered with it, which probably explains the prior statement. I would not recommend a Dreamline if you are intent on shooting slugs and chasing the maximum power possible.
