I'm wondering if the Mach 1 is any good. I would love to know the FPE/FPS. If anybody has former experience with this airgun, please let me know what you think of it!
title says Gamo, but you said you wouldn't buy a crossman last I knew they are not the same company.. but I do believe if he is looking for a good airgun a rws would fit the bill..I loved my old RWS 48.Put it in search bar up top and can probably find what your looking for.. I would buy a older RWS, HW etc before Id buy a Crosman. Not saying they are bad you can just get more gun for your money if you look around.
Meant Gamo was thinking about Crosman had just looked at some custom Crosman pics...Fixed ittitle says Gamo, but you said you wouldn't buy a crossman last I knew they are not the same company.. but I do believe if he is looking for a good airgun a rws would fit the bill..I loved my old RWS 48.

I got a Gamo website exclusive one that is single shot as I read lots of people having trouble with the newer recoil activated mags.I have a whisper swarm .177. As break barrels go it is okay. As stated above it can be a bit hard on scopes. Typical break barrel accuracy, you move the barrel to cock. You need to check the sighting fairly regularly. It will take down squirrels but stick to center mass.
My biggest complaint is the magazines. A pain to load at .177.
To be honest my neighbor has had it for most of the last year. I shoot PCP these days.

I was gonna buy the Magnum GEN3I but it was 260 on amazon. I didn't buy it because it was expensive. I would have bought it 100000% if it had iron sights. I like scopes but I could stick to iron sights. Also, the one I'm talking about is single loadedI have a whisper swarm .177. As break barrels go it is okay. Thats some good FPE. I right now only care about hunting, I really wont be using this thing 24/7. I'd say I'd go thru a tin every year or so. Do you reckon this thing could take down a coyote or a racoon if it needed to? I know maybe a racoon but I'm not sure about coyote.I would say its ok for the money if you dont really want to run a scope. I have a Magnum Gamo with the IGT 33mm Cylinder and it has broken up 4 scopes so far. I have an older SWFA scope on it right now that seems to be holding up so far. It has ok accuracy about 2 inches at 50yds but I am not good at shooting break barrels. Makes about 23-24fpe in 22Cal shooting Hades or HN Barracudas. If you want a spring/piston rifle I would suggest saving a bit more and get something nicer like an AA or one of the German lasers.
Racoon yes, Coyote no. Elevation will certainly reduce your fps, by how much depends on high how you are. I assume your previous post of 5ft is a typoThats some good FPE. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm planning to get a real good one soon, for hunting. This one is mostly for rabbits, pigeons and maybe racoons if they get in my way.
I'd put the raccoon in the unlikely category. I've hit them center mass in the chest (up on hind legs) with my AEA Terminator .30 and it ran away. I've also hit them head shot with my .22 Niksan Ozark for a kill.Racoon yes, Coyote no. Elevation will certainly reduce your fps, by how much depends on high how you are. I'm at 5ft of elevation actually lol. What do you think is the biggest game this could take out? I would assume something a bit smaller than a bobcatRacoon yes, Coyote no. Elevation will certainly reduce your fps, by how much depends on high how you are. I assume your previous post of 5ft is a typo
Florida, very south floridaHe said Raccoon... where are you at to be at 5ft elevation, New Orleans?
Bobcat cats are bigger then a raccoon and sometime as big as a coyote.. 25ftlb springers arent meant even for med size animals- 20-25# probably the most with good head shots, frontal shots on raccoons heads are hard due to sloped head pellets and even .22 rimfire can glance off.
I'm patenting it. Ready to make a gazillion dollars. I'm gonna call the company: OMAG (gamo backwards)He’s busy redesigning the air gun.
Why don't they make a break barrel with two pistons
It would be cool. But it would take a beast to cock it. I believe it would make a difference, but not double the FPS. What do you think?www.airgunnation.com
