Is there a quality semiauto pistol?

I have about a half dozen airguns. I enjoy both precision shooting and plinking cans while camping. One of my pistols is a decent quality CO2 and a break barrel pellet guns that are fairly accurate and fun to shoot. The blowback semi-autos I use for can plinking loose a little of their joy from the clunkiness. I recently bought two replicas one of the Beretta PX4 and the CZ 75 P-07, they are fun but clunky. The CZ locks back with last shot and the PX4 has a dual action trigger which is nice but the triggers are really awkward.

Does anyone make a semi-auto that would shoot accurately with a smooth trigger like a quality firearm?

Note to add, I would also consider a revolver style pistol if there is one with a smooth action.

James Bond PPK bb pistol co2 is a hoot to shoot. It's not all that accurate but for camping shooting it fits in your pocket and has a huge semi-auto fun factor.
The Steyr is the ultimate. I own a Morini but it's not semi-auto. A joy to shoot.

Crosman 600, though they were made from 1960-70 and you’d have to acquire a fixer upper to reseal or send it to a knowledgeable smith to do the work. It’s got the heft of a real firearm with a true semi auto action, adjustable rear sight. I bought a used one, resealed it myself, and it shoots 14 grain Meisters at 380-400fps.

Interesting the Morini looks to be the same price as the Steyr. Why is the Steyr the ultimate?

I am having a blast with my $100 semi-autos, not looking to buy a $2000 one though. I might buy a I am looking for something somewhere between $100 and $2000, leaning towards the $100 side of the spectrum. Anyone try the CZ Shadow replica?

I've got a Steyr LP50 Sport. Great little gun, VERY accurate 10m, target pistol. Great trigger (adjustable). 5 shot magazine, target grips to fit...your hand. Comes with two air cylinders, tools and a fitted case.

Worth every penny.

I like the Sig M-17 CO2 replica. $125 for mine at Cabelas. 20 round mag, very nice CO2 cartridge quick install lever, no fussing with screws or hex wrenches. Decent trigger and blow back action. Good for 60 pellets per CO2.

With cleapo Walmart/Crosman pellets I find it just as accurate as my 9mm semiauto PB's. It does shoot about 4" low at 50 feet, sights are not adjustable.

For a revolver I like the Dan Wesson 715 .177 pellet (not BB) revolver. Most accurate .177 CO2 pistol that I've owned to date, good for 1" groups at 25 feet. About $150.00 for that one. Very nice charcoal finish on it, almost a shame to ruin the look with finger prints. Terrible double action trigger but nice on single action. Also 60+ shots per CO2 cart. Similar accuracy as my PB Ruger GP-100 357 mag.

Hope you find something fun that meets what you're looking for. Collecting the pistols can be addictive..

Nothing out there compares to the Steyr LP50, whether you get the short or long model. It is the only semi-auto air pistol that I am aware of that come close to a semi-auto bullseye firearm. I use mine so I can practice Bullseye shooting in my basement during the week before our Monday evening league .22 Bullseye matches. My Bullseye pistol is a Pardini SP 6”, and I have the Steyr’s trigger adjusted to where it is very similar to that of the Pardini SP. It has made quite a difference in my Timed and rapid fire strings.

The Roehm Twinmaster (Regulated PCP/Co2) is a great .177 cal single/double action revolver, great fun to shoot (I own 3)

Not very power full in stock config, JSB Exact at 360fps but mine goes 508fps after reversing disc in the regulator

Not made anymore but you may be able to find a used one

Yes it can be. I had more than a few guns as a kid that all lost in a fire. I had a CZ .22 3 years ago and now own 17 different guns between air guns and PBs. Does that stand for pointed bullet? I have bought pretty plebian guns till now but looking for something nicer soon.

I will take a look at the Dan Wessons. I have a uber cheap .22 revolver I shot over the weekend and it was a lot of fun and my shooting with it was as accurate as any other shooting I have done since I was a kid, so maybe a air gun revolver is in order.

I am likely to buy another air gun something nicer but the primary reason I asked this question is a friend of mine a 60 lady, ski bum (not wealthy) was interested in buying an airgun. We went camping and I put the cheapest and nicest gun I own in her hands. A. $30 daisy and the Diana Airbug. Before that experiment she just wanted something cheap, but after that experience she said I would rather buy something nicer up front. So I sent her a picture of the Steyr you are all recommending, mostly as a joke. Then I sent her a picture of the compressor. I am guessing the two costs are a significant portion of her annual income.

Of all the airguns and other guns I own I enjoy shooting them all but have trouble suggesting a first air gun for someone, especially knowing it might be her only gun, unless she gets hooked.
