Is there a way to buy just the shroud for FX Impact?

So others understand there is an option to order the parts needed to get a liner to work. I just emailed FX service with this parts list, and they gave a quote for the parts below. With the parts and liner's cost, you invested for under $250, so far more affordable than getting a barrel change kit AND heavy liner. Keep in mind my parts list is for a 600mm 25 cal superior heavy liner that I'm looking to purchase, so modify the part numbers as needed by your requirements by using the X-Barrel diagram on the FX Support website, also the parts list doesn't include the brass transfer port as I am getting the dual transfer port from Newman over at 910 Airguns, so don't forget that part if you just want the regular transfer port. Here are the parts you will need:

Barrel Attachment 25 - 19962
O-Ring 10 x 2 NBR 70 - 19703
O-Ring 9 x 1 NBR 70 (3) - 19954
Barrel Housing 550mm - 19972
Liner Lock .25 - 19970

I hope this helps some of you guys out. It's what I'm proceeding with.

So I reached out to FX USA and they said that they can sell me all the parts except for the barrel attachment as this is their “warranty part” and they will not sell it separately from a barrel kit. Ok I get it they wanna make some money but the fact that they won’t even let me buy a barrel kit with the heavy slug liner and have to get that separately is bullpoop. Also not even mentioning that the barrel kit and the slug liner together costs more than a Glock or building an AR. Honestly if I knew there would be so difficult about this I would have never gotten the impact in the first place as the main reason was for getting it was the ability to mod the gun.

Maybe FX can comment since they are active in these threads?

Interesting, did you call or email? I emailed them and asked to order these parts, a concise message. Melissa returned my email saying she sent me an invoice for $116.25, and she didn't mention anything about not being able to sell me the barrel attachment. Not sure if it depends on who you get, but I made the payment, and I'm waiting for the parts. I'll let you know if they send the barrel attachment or not. If they don't, I'm going to be in a weird spot for sure.

So just for validation, I reached out to FX and was sent this in return. Not sure why they are saying they can't sell you the part. They sold me the part.

Pyramyd should be shipping out my liner in the next couple of days, along with my slug kit. Once I get all the parts from FX, Pyramyd, and Newman over at 910 (dual transfer port & carbon liner sleeve), I'll put it all together and get back to you guys. I think it should be fine after reviewing the diagrams, but if I'm missing something, you guys will be the first to know, and I'll modify my parts list in my previous post. I've heard that there won't really be a reason to index the barrel once you have the carbon sleeve installed on the liner, so I'll be testing that theory as well once the weather warms up.

So, admittedly, when I first started this process, I reached out to FX with a question about what parts I would need to complete the task of building out a liner without a barrel change kit. Kayla replied to me and told me to buy a barrel change kit. I was not too fond of that answer, so I reviewed the diagrams, put together all the parts that I thought I would need, and sent FX another very concise email. Melissa got back to me with an invoice and told me it was all set. If you call or email, request, or start the email with Melissa and you should be good as she is the one who has helped me acquire the parts I wanted without issue. However, I'm not sure why there is a disconnect there at FX. If you need the part outside of the warranty, there would be a cost associated, so I'm confused.

If you guys are still tracking this:

I just received my parts today from FX, and everything is as expected. The only discrepancies were the two 9x1 O-rings that go inside the liner lock. I called and talked to an FX tech, and he said that the design changed and no longer required the 25/30 Cal liner lock to have the two 9x1 O-rings, just the single 9x1 in the barrel attachment.

For future orders:

Barrel Attachment 25 Cal – 19962 (Required to attach the fill probe and barrel housing)
O-Ring 10 x 2 NBR 70 (1) – 19703 (Required to seal the fill probe and barrel attachment)
O-Ring 9 x 1 NBR 70 (1) – 19954 (Required to seal/support the liner in the barrel attachment)
Barrel Housing 550mm – 19972 (Required to hold the 600mm liner)
Liner Lock .25 – 19970 (Required to support the liner at the crown end)

I still recommend this route if you want to get a longer/shorter barrel in the same caliber without getting a complete barrel change kit.
