Is there an alternative device other then Pelletgage? Update...

I apparently ordered unknowingly from a distributor. i thought i was ordering direct. I found the pelletgage web site and sent an email asking if they were aware of my order. I got tipped off because some here said Jerry was in NC but my order was from an outfit in TX. Jerry almost immediately responded and said he would make it right. As per his response above. I realize "stuff" happens and appreciate Jerry taking care of the problem.

P.S. I've been using a .177 pellet gage for many yrs and am happy with the product.

Now that the TRUTH has come out MANY POSTS AFTER that statement in your original post, your false accusation is tantamount to libel, glr59! So saying you appreciate "the manufacturer" taking care of the problem IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. You should apologize... publicly and PROFUSELY, for the damage you've done with your false accusation against a well-respected member of the airgun community.

Just ordered a 0.177 & 0.22. Tried using a 0.0005" resolution caliper. Only worked if the head was perfectly perpendicular to the jaws and it was slow. Now I'm measuring pellets... Really going down the 🐰-hole...

I looked up this now old thread to say that I got my 177 pellet gauge from the outfit in Texas. I waited a week and when I had not heard anything I sent an email asking status and if I needed to cancel. I got a reply a couple days later saying he had been ill and did I want to cancel or have him ship. I think that was a week ago today. I asked him to ship early this week and he shipped on Monday, I got it yesterday (Friday). Works fine.

I’d you have cubic money to spend or can find one used….get a laser micrometer. The pellet gage holes are in .0003 increments if I remember correctly. Interesting that they had burrs, they are suppose to be laser cut. You can get a stone called a center lap, the finest you can get and GENTLY by hand deburr the holes.

FWIW mine arrived three days after ordering. Got the 0.177 & 0.22 cal units. Assembled easy. Took some getting used to but was able to sort a 500 pellet tin in about three hours. It's tedious but got good data.

Plasma cut has burrs, a lazer is just a decimated/fraction of that material melt cut so less burrs. If you have anything laser cut parts just have a closer look with a jewellery lupe.
I gave up with pelletgage for measuring, ordered last week a TRobb sizer and I am planning to resize all to bore instead.
