Is this penetration good?

So I got me a gamo whisper mach 1 in .22. Have shot it like 5 times.

I shot into a 1-inch thick wood 1x2 board, and it made it halfway through (whereas my Benjamin Prolwer .22 only made it 25-30%% through). I'm wondering if that's good
I also shot into two water bottles (one was a harder plastic) and it ripped a big hole through the first and a little one through the second, and dented a tin bucket.

Is that somewhat good for a springer? What tests do you recommend me doing? And will it shoot faster once I break it in?

Thanks

My penetration tests are wet magazines for body shots and layers of 1/4 inch mdf for brain shots. Making it through even 1 layer of mdf is enough for small game like squirrel and rabbits for head shots. Your guns may be able to do this. For body shots I like to see penetration of at least 8 soaked magazines. I'm not sure they will do that but the way to find out is to soak some magazines and shoot them. If they will you should get to vitals even if you hit the shoulder.

I do not test in pine boards because their density varies a lot. I have tested in gallon milk jugs but I don't remember the results but I thought it was hard to tell much. I also don't know what a milk jug would simulate.

Thanks I'm gonna test them out
