Is this the correct fitting?

Is this the fitting I need to connect to the black paintball tanks that come with paintball guns? There was a time when my son and I use to shoot paintball around my place, and the guns and tanks have been set aside for years. I know any O-rings involved are all dried up and will need to be changed out. I have an infestation of geese on my property, so bad that every where I step my shoes are all full of their nasty turds, and they are making a mess of my dock. I’d like to chase them out, or police them by using a paintball gun at a safe distance. Now that I own a compressor I’d like to fill these paintball tanks.

which leads to my next question- the tanks were originally made for CO2 fills. Can I fill them with just HPA? These are the black metal tanks, not the carbon fiber/composite ones.

............ dont be filling this stuff unless you know what you're doing ...... i did and scared me more than once - just 1000 psi... i have , however, changed out the 3k burst disc with a 5k burst disc on a 24oz paintball tank... i needed a pony tank for my disco ( which fills only to 2000 or so psi, thank God) and get a refill or two in the field .. maybe run those turd poopters off with a multi-pump cheap bb gun ? paintball to the head of a goose beak might draw attention (i never liked geese)....heheheh........ freeze the paintballs...hehehe , remember that p-balling trick ?? from the 80's..... that male foster fitting must goto a remote co2 (curly-q) line ?? if any of those aluminum or cheap chinese threads break on the extra preesure... i hope youre ok. i learned the hard way.. resealing a disco and not bleeding it like a dummy - the fill nozzle flew threw the computer monitor and into the sheet rock.... later , when i was fixing / refurbing the benjamin hand pumps for the patent holder damn fill line came out of the threads in the base of the earlier benji pumps... i had a dead head on it , testing the reseal job... that went thru the tin warehouse roof....... and was LOUD... glad it was wasnt my eye or teeth... and my boss said he didnt even hear it... (duane sorensen was cool, tho - he patented that footpump that enabled pcp to be available to us blue-collar guys.......even back in lewis and clark days , you had to be 'a sportsman' to afford one - or well off )........... hope that helps .. - paul.

The paintball tank are not rated for hpa. Reg is set at 800psi and max fill psi 1100-1200. Lots of talk on other forums about why not to fill with hpa.

I should of said CO2 paintball tanks. They DO make paintball tank rated for hpa but still 800 psi reg.

As far as that stupid trick of the frozen paintballs for the 80’s, yeah, I remember those- by being hit by one right in the cheek bone, the part just outside the mask’s edge. Really pissed me off. Never ever played another game of PB after that. I had one swollen face for about three days.

Co2 tanks paintball or otherwise are not rated for HPA and just because they have a 3k burst disk does not mean you should push them past co2 pressures. The tanks that I have state max pressure of 1800psi right on the necks of the tanks. Never push your luck when it comes to high pressure cuz bad things can and have happened. Steel 3k HPA tanks are cheap if you have the need for one.
