Airgun Technologies Is Vulcan 3 HP a new category of rifle?

This new rifle shoots only heavy and extra heavy slugs.

This rifle in .25 Cal is supposed to give almost twice the power of a Vulcan 3 non HP.

What this rifle can be designed for?

- Extreme long range accuracy (farther away 220 yards)? ....... This could be very attractive.

- Extra power for killing ...... What?

I would like to understand the purpose of this new power level. We might be facing a huge advance in Air Rifles capabilities.

If anyone has info about this new rifle, please share it.

What do you get with that upgrade?

That extra power implies accuracy at longer distance? How far away?
Check of African Air Ordinance website shows, for $115, a 2023 V3 Upgrade Kit includes Biathlon Cocking handles, Reg removal tool, bottle adapter for aftermarket CF bottles, aluminum reg creep prevention plate, depinger, HS kit and magazine adapter kit for larger slugs. WM

I have an older Vulcan 3 in .177 and considered the African Air Ordinance Upgrade kit found here. My V3 is in serious need of a depinger at the very least. It's awful!! The kit comes from South Africa so the $57 shipping makes it s tough sell, $115 for the kit + $57 to ship = $172 in total. Plus, not entirely sure it's really necessary for a small 177 caliber. Don't really need much more power but the opportunity for more air / more shots, a more stable / efficient gun and a much needed depinger make it an attractive upgrade. I reached out to Jeremy at African Air Ordinance to see if there were any shipping options but unfortunately there wasn't much he could do. I understand his position and appreciated his quick response. It would be nice if it or something similar was available here in the US. If I'm going to keep this gun long term then I'm going to have to get the kit!!

Never checked shipping, WOW! Talon Tunes sells factory V3 depingers for around $40, shipping/tax, total around $50. My V3 had factory installed depinger but chunk missing (pictured) called for a Talon Tunes replacement. Should have saved my $, ping still there. WM

Oh man, never considered the depinger could fail that way!! I knew Talon Tunes had the depinger and was all set to purchase one but now I think I should save my money. I would be very unhappy if the ping was still there after installation. That sucks!! Talon Tunes is the only place I've seen the depinger other than this AAO kit. I thought I remembered someone here on AGN saying they built one by using 2 pieces of vinyl tubing or something like that.
Maybe I should just go with the kit from Jeremy at AAO!!

I asked Derrick at Tenacious Airguns to order and tune my V3 for higher power and it's quite a Beast! 99 fpe using 25 cal Altaros Queen 60gr slugs/BC of .245 at 862 fps. In a recent UFT match my squad mate and friend was laughing because the big metal targets were falling back so hard that it rocked the entire target, LOL!

I've taken it to 421Y and it did well on steel grouping just over a foot for 12 shots and it wasn't calm out because I was holding off 3 mils for wind.

At 250Y its downright easy to hit a fox sized steel. I hardly miss and that is with some wind present.

I like this V3 and those slugs a lot! So far I'd rate this gun at the top of all the pcp's I've owned as far as performance vs per dollar spent.

So ……. We should keep an eye on this new Vulcan 3 HP……

Could be a super rifle for extra long distance shooting.

Think damage caused during installation, no plastic pieces found inside tube. Search archives, "Vulcan 3 depinger," or other variations, pretty sure you'll find vinyl tubing fix, there's another one with rolled up corrugated sign plastic. Never shot mine without depinger but with current "ping" can't imagine without. Might consider adding a bottle brush, worked well on JTS Airacuda. YouTube video shows procedure, it's an old remedy for depinger, only a buck @ Dollar General. WM

Maybe to include a regulator in the front and another in the rear…..
