I'm happy with it stock. But I might try the moderator insert to make it just a little more backyard friendly.

Matters not about the equipment used on the fishing trip in my example, only the money spent on the hobby that cannot be recouped is my point. Some fishing trips can be quite costly but most won’t question others on it.

I've considered and priced out various mods to this nearly 70 yr old Noob's Notos. I then looked at my Streamline, S200 and Stormrider and thought, naw, I'm a backyard shooter. I did buy a Red Corn moderator extension and just put on a CVLife scope one of my friends gifted me, replacing a red dot. I also got a single shot loader and even a mag from the same maker but decided I like to shoot "slow" so use the single shot loader. The Notos works fine at 10 yrds in my basement, longer ranges will be tested later this week. One thing I would like is a "better" cocking lever, but I haven't seen one that I am wanting to try yet.

@zeroc , did you miss the 1022 mod craze 20 yrs ago on RFC? Because I rode the crest of that craze, I sort of have it out of my system. But I have to look at myself in the mirror with this new hobby of mine, airguns, and try and hold myself back of all the nutty stuff I did with powder burners 2 decades ago.
haha, you got me! My 1022 was also heavily modded until I moved on to airguns. With the suppressor ban in my state, it was a dead end for power burners. With a suppressed airgun, I can shoot in the comfort of my backyard every morning, rather than driving two hours to the range or some sketchy BLM land.@zeroc , did you miss the 1022 mod craze 20 yrs ago on RFC? That is my plan, just the insert and magazines.I'm happy with it stock. But I might try the moderator insert to make it just a little more backyard friendly.
100% same here.OTB and doing what it was originally designed to do. Be a lightweight carbine for plinking and pest control out to around 40-50 yrds accurately.
I have way too many Notos rifles and still it continues to grow, lol. I do keep one completely stock for base line comparison. I do provide feedbacks to companies and encourage them to incorporate some of this mods for safety, ergonomics and performance. I have mutual NDA's with 4 different companies. No I'm not going to get rich out of this, but I also learn and enjoy this hubby immensely.

Please look under the thread " Umarex Notos has arrived). All my mods are there starting page #24. The 1st generation side lever extension is a few pages after.Hi there! I have a question on a couple of your mods I haven't seen or where to find them...The middle one and up, that cocking lever mod - I've seen FX guns use that & seems its a really smooth minimal resistance cocking lever setup? How does that work, what would you call the parts if trying to search? Also the fourth from the bottom, never seen plenum extension like that - I am trying to resist the full-on drop block and tank just for carrying purposes, and Already have the plenum extension kit, same diameter as the stock air tank...I get roughly 35-40 shots before air drops (I did open the regulator up 1/4 turn) - what does that mod you did allow for? Similar shot count? & maybe some FPS? Hoping to get to shooting 22gr slugs with enough power to justify without compromising the stock profile...Any help is appreciated -
One more thing, I'm trying to figure how a sling might attach - OTB butt stock, & added on the hand guard around the air tank with a picatinny underneath...full-length of the tank. Thanks! Stuff looks AWESOMEEE.
