Issue with my RovAir

Hello All,

Yesterday I received my new Air Venturi RovAir Compressor and I put it to use today.

First I filled my Avenger a couple of times with no problem, filled the gun from Completely Empty to 4000 psi in 6 minutes 30 seconds.

Then I filled my Gauntlet 30 from 3000 to 4000 psi in 2 minutes no problem there either.

However when I tried to fill my AEA HP Max .35 it would not fill the gun.

I installed the fill probe foster side into the female quick disconnect of the RovAir hose and the fit seemed a little loose. Double checked the connections and turned on the compressor, but you could hear air leaking at the foster to female connection of the compressor hose.
It would not build pressure and would not fill.

There definitely is a little play in the connection - it does not fit snug like my other 2 guns.

Has anyone else experienced this with any of their guns?

Have you checked the o-ring inside the female foster fitting to ensure it's not nicked or deformed, that can cause leaks also. Sadly, there seems to be a wide disparity in the actual dimensions of foster fittings these days. Some seem to feel loose and others you can't seems to get them to even fit into the female fitting. You'd think there'd be some sort of standard.

Yes, I took a close look at the o-ring inside the female fitting it looks good.
- There is just too much slop/loosness when I insert the AEA fill probe. The Hose on this compressor and female foster fitting looks really cheap and poor quality.

I have an Air Venturi Wingman 74cf Tank with the Air venturi Labeled Hose and it works fine with this AEA Probe.
Let's see what Airgun Depot wants to do about it, I'm going to call them today.

Heres an update.

I called Bin @ The Pellet Shop ( The best customer service I have seen )
I asked him if he has seen this issue before with female quick disconnects and AEA Foster Fill probes. He said most all the compressor fittings come with a thin Green O Ring and it sometimes does not make a good seal on the fill probe.

He recommended a specific O Ring sold on Amazon that should fix the issue. I will include a link to them below.
- Well his advice fixed the issue immediately!

Here is a pic of the Green o ring that came in the fitting, and the New Orange o ring from Amazon. You can see the Orange o ring is much thicker and it is also more pliable. Worked perfectly - $6 for 100 pcs.

I have a Rovair, it’s new, won’t go over 3000 psi, shuts off and works fine below that pressure.
