Alright friends, funds are in place, I got the thumbs up from the wife, and I've finally made my decision. The FX Wildcat .25 it is! I get off work in about an hour and 15 minutes, and I'm calling AoA on my way home. I'm going to have them add the picitany rail for an Atlas bi-pod, and I'll be heading up to see Joe at Air Tanks For Sale on my days off. I'm still deciding on my scope, but I have it narrowed down. I'm leaning toward the Athalon. 
I know...kind of a lame post, but I'm really excited!!!

Not at all, anyone that has made the plunge you are about to make has felt the excitement you are feeling. Enjoy the feeling and the process of getting the gun and learning the gun. There is no other thrill that compares. Keep us informed of the progress of getting your new gun home! congrats!

Ever see the video that Ted made when he got one of his new guns and did a box opening video? His heart was racing as he checked his pulse, so we all get excited about this sport so enjoy it! Some of us have to live vicariously thru you! lol.

Get lots of extra magazines as well! I have 7 for my .22! When they are all emptied, I know it's time not only to reload but also time to refill the aircylinder...
(If you do not go for the "real' atlas, but get an airsoft "clone" (which ARE licenced, there was a big fight over that some years ago over at the TAGforum, where the original designer of the Atlas told the naysayers that he did in fact (!) sold a licence to a Chinese airsoft company so that they could produce them) then you save a lot of money that you can use to buy many more magazines or other airgungoodies!

And if you are a leftie (lefty?) or have to shoot lefthanded for whatever reason, like I do nowadays then a nice chap by the name of Neil who has his own little company called Airfective in the UK makes a super nice cheekpiece. Looks like the real deal! Something FX neglects to do themselves for some weird reason...(as mr FX himself is a southpaw I don't get why he doesn't do it...)

Anyway, good choice, have fun!

Thanks so much guys, I'm really excited. This is my first PCP, but I do have lots of weapons experience. I can't wait to get my hands on this beauty. I've been researching and trying to make a decision for about the last 6 months. I didn't want to settle on something cheaper, so I decided to jump in with both feet, and I am glad I did/am doing. I've been reading a ton, and watching as many videos as I can find. I really appreciate all of your advice and experience. Please forgive the lame questions that I'm sure I'm going to be asking. I'll buy you all a cold beer if you're ever down my way (I actually have a good IPA on tap at my house at all times).

i've got you by 2 already but i'm retired and started early this Friday one at 4:00 and the other at 5:00 and it's 6:00 now. That is it for me today ,might get a small night cap.
I forgot to tell you we got the .25 cal also..Had to wait six months or longer for mind but have enjoyed it. We shot an eight shot dime size hole at 50 yrds last Christmas. Had the grandkids, son-n-law and son shooting it and loving it. We started out with the Marauder gen One not long after it came out. It was in 22 cal, and did not shoot that well got a .25 cal later on, shot a lot better and that is the reason for the Wildcat in .25 cal.We are now working in the .22 cal Marauder, have replace the barrel with an after market $250 barrel thats got got it shooting great but should at that price. Got to put the regulator in when we get back home from a short Vac. to TX next week. Love shooting the air guns, it can be done in town on our 3 ac lot without going to jail. Before we moved to town in 2000 we shot some kind of fire arm every day. playing with load that we were working up.

Nice kk4iz! I'm on beer 2 now as well, Stone Go To IPA. It's what I have on tap right now. I may need another,I just got off the phone with AoA. I just ordered my stuff! Holly s#!+ that was expensive! I had to wait until today, I've been working a ton & not getting off on time. I'm. Pediatric Intensive Care Flight RN. I spend a lot of time in a helicopter & an airplane, and when we're out on a late mission, there's not much I can do. The kid comes first. Anyway, I digress...Again, holly s#!+! I'm so excited! I of course went with the Wildcat .25. I'm having them add the picitany rail for an Atlas bi-pod, I got the bi-pod too of course, and I'm having them put a Huggett on for me too! Go big, or go home, right!

Thats right all the way.. We have a couple that works for AirMedCare that lives here full time on the Tenn/Tombigbee water way where we have a second home to come and unwind when we where working but retired the first of August. We all got a membership with the Air Vac just in case we might need them, that service is not cheap and we are an hour to nearest hospital.Now we are here most of the time, to get away from interstate traffic and RR noise about a mile from our home in Clanton. We worked for a company called Summit Helicopters Inc. in Cloverdale, VA. that flies fire control out west, some work on the border and spraying power line, timberland and I don't know what else. They also have a large helicopter shop and parts. We managed a reforestation nursery for them for years after they bought the nursery. We grew about 27,000,000 Loblolly pine seedlings a year.Mainly what is grow here in the South. And we are a small nursery compared to some of the other one. Loved the work but it was time for me to go after 50 plus years in nursery work. Time to enjoy things we did not have that much time for before, the wife,kids, grandkids, shooting,fishing and a few more trips back out west.

I got my Wildcat set up by AoA rifle, scope and rings they zeroed it for me and it was dead on. I got the FX no limit rings, have not had to move them. We did kill a crow at 107 yards this spring eating some of our hardwood seed. I don't remember how much hold over we did but that is something we are going to work on when it cools off some here. Been in the upper 90's with humidity above the temp. Can be in the low to mid 80's at dark and still have sweat running down your back, it don't take long to get wet with sweat.
JSB 25 grn. do have some heavies and heavy Mark II just need the temp to get right to play with the. The .25 are working good on targets out to 50 yards and the the crow didn't like them at 107. We have not put the heavies on paper yet. We tried some other pellets bu came back to JSBs
Mike make sure your scope will focus a 10 to 15 yrads
