Okay I got another surprise today my EdGun Leshiy 2 arrived 4 weeks and two days early ordered from Francisco. It is absolutely beautiful. Everything that came with the gun other than the 300 cc bottle is there....

First, I went through the basics of the instructions took the fill probe installed a foster quick connect adaptor on the probe, then connected to my tank, and now the BUT, the probe to air was rushing out of the fill port, the gun filling and probably 4 times as much air bleeding as going into the gun. I contacted Francisco and he said he sent me an extra probe with gun, but I can't find it so no alternative. We thought maybe the foster fitting, well changed them, seals I changed everything I could think of even the tank.

I have already sent Francisco the picture of the probe. Is it me or should the exit hole of the probe be more in the middle? Also, where it is bleeding from is the gap between where the spacer is to rotate the gap. I know you need the gap to rotate the cover, it is what it is. and just to comment ahead of time the leak is NOT coming from the probe forster fitting union.

Experts please help and have already reached out to Francisco, maybe I need a new probe.

From your picture though, where you have it circled ( and arrow ) doesn't look like you are circling between the orings on the probe. The area you are circling looks more like the shaft before the first oring. I don't think it matters about the hole being centered in the probe, as long as it's between the orings it should be fine I would think.

Hiteck are saying he hasn’t pushed the probe in far enough ? That’s what my guess would be. Something might be slightly misaligned preventing it from seating completely .

Typically there is a seal in the ID of the female portion of the foster fitting. I do not normally add a dowdy. The picture makes it look like the dowdy seal is not very captured.

JWilson- is that probe specifically for the L2?

I would lube the o-rings with diver's grease and plug it in all the way first and try filling again and if still leaks try and put a larger o-ring here if the leak doesn't go away if it's plugged all the way in and it still leaks.

No. It is an EDgun probe though.I do lubricate the orings very lightly. Does not show in the picture. I definitely do not allow them to be wet with lube though. I do not want to carry contamination to the reservoir, reg seat or valve seat.

As long as the hole is between the orings it should not matter.

just noticed the OP said the leak is not from the probe/fitting union. Like said above... check orings, ensure probe is fully inserted.

needs a longer probe or drill out the hole in the outer butt stock to allow the probe to insert properly.

I have gone through and did the following and even did a FaceTime chat with my cousin to one say, “look at what I got before you!” And trouble shooting. Also, I have removed the seal between the fitting and the foster quick connect, and same issue. Also, still only lightly using some silicon grease/gel, and still same issue. And changed the o-rings with the spares provided by Francisco, the first ones were a pain to remove, I really need a dental tool pick. Amazon here I come.

Like I originally said, the lead is definitely coming from the fill port and not between the foster fitting and probe. On FaceTime my cousin agreed way too much air flow sound for a seal break between the fitting and probe. The issue seems between where the probe and the gun/reservoir port - interface.. (Sorry not sure terminology). I just tried to fill 10 minutes ago with the above changes, same issue.

Just a thought...perhaps the probe doesn't need to be pushed all the way in until it goes no further.

Try backing out the fill probe a tiny bit at a time, and see if there is a "magic spot" where the O-rings seal properly and the fill hole is properly aligned.

This has happened to me before and a slight adjustment on the fill probe position solved the problem.

If the new probe doesn’t solve issue I want a complete new rear stock. The gun arrived around 8 hours ago, not drilling it. And the probe seems going in as far as it can go and dimensions seem the same as photos posted.

Tried the fill probe and backing it out a couple of mm and didn’t seem to help.

It seems to be the issue of the valve between air reservoir and the filling probe, which may not be properly opening. Hopefully, tomorrow the problem can be solved.

Try applying a lot of pressure this way same time as applying pressure sticking in the fill probe when filling.

Maybe it got bumped or dropped during shipping and the guns attached filler isn't centered.

When viewing videos of folks swapping to bottles, they insert the probe after degassing to make sure the fill port does not rotate while unscrewing the tube reservoir and adapter. Perhaps degassing will allow you to align so you can get complete insertion.

The guns fill to 300 BAR. Even if the gun is not accepting air it should not blow by the fill port/probe orings. Perhaps the probe is able to go in straight???

Thank you @jWilson, I will try that tomorrow with the degassing and need air tanks filled, already after 8 pm here. The probe seems to be bottoming out, so it should be sealing.

@unclehoot I held the probe while filling and I had the same issue.

I will see what Francisco says tomorrow.

One comment, for ME I do find the handgrip a bit cramped. In the future I will look at alternatives. When I had my cousin on FaceTime he did say, “yes your hand does look a bit cramped.”

Hard to tell what the probe could bottom out on. Does the L2 not have the capability to fill from either side?

Yes, same issue both sides, so it MIGHT be the probe, but not sure.

Or alignment. Can you take a picture of the open port from both sides? Or look and se of the fill port is centered the same on both sides?

@rjgta unless I missed something, no white derlin washer was included maybe an oversight, plus you think they would mention such an important thing in the MANUAL that comes with the gun.
