I was testing some pellets today in my Prophet Performance Compact at my 30 yard zero and I see a fly on my target paper.

I had to enlarge the picture to see it. I was trying to figure out how he hit a fly (obvious from the splatter) and didn’t puncture the paper

The hole is there. The fly guts must have glued the paper back together. Ill post a pic of the back side of the paper later.

What is the best "bait" to attract flies to paper? This could be an added dimension to plinking! @OldSpook says peanut butter, maybe jelly or honey would work?

Use fly paper strips stuck to tour target.

The flies can not flee and you can bang away until they are reduced to remnants.

I know this exact feeling. I had had plenty of fun 'big game hunting' flies with my Bug-A-Salt rifle, and then found out how much cooler it was to hunt from distances with air rifles. These are truly some incredible tools we have!
