izh46m issue

Just received this from the canadian source listed on this forum.
I have a problem already in that once i pressurize it as described in the manual, I place a pellet and , when I close the mechanism i hear air escape and the gun will not shoot. does this sound familiar to anyone?

I would contact the supplier, it does not sound correct. Mind does not do that.

that was a user error, thank you for the suggestion. just need to pop it a little more and it all works fine.

Understand what you were doing, Can move breech block up manually, or by moving the cocking lever all the way forward. Be sure you always put the breech block all the way down before firing, otherwise you may blow out and loose one or more of the o rings.

I lost my o rings on my first shooting session. The good news is I have a thread in here on the size of the replacements. I purchased a 100 o rings for $5, cheap and easy fix. Great pistol.

i saw that same post and purchased extra - before I got the pistol

My partner in Kansas is having the same problem.
He says he has to hold the loading block down for the pistol to fire properly.
He also has an IZH46.
No problems with it.
I think Air Venturi did not do a good job with the AV46.
IMHO

I have both a AV and an IZH, and both have that little sliding part with a notch that catches over the breech block to hold it down. No way to move it up unless you move that sliding part or cycle the cocking lever all the way forward.
