HW/Weihrauch Jaw-dropping HW 35's...

Let me start by saying these are NOT mine (I wish)...! They are both owned by a friend and were photographed when they sauntered past my table at the 2023 Columbus, Ohio airgun show.

FIrst up, an "RDB 1" - stamped, chrome-plated, HW 35EB - Beeman's unique version combining the European "Export" walnut stock and standard 19-inch barrel. It's one of a small number created of course for the good Dr. Robert D. Beeman himself:

And then the piece de resistance...a gold-plated, engraved masterpiece with museum-grade custom walnut thumbhole stock. Surely one of the most desirable examples of this classic in existence:

The pics of these two jewels make me sweat with unbridled envy. And actually touching them was a highlight of my airgun-geek career, LOL....

I can't imagine actually handling one of those, absolutely jaw dropping gorgeous. Do they actually get shot? Thanks for sharing Mike.

To each his own of course, but I'd never shoot one of these! 😳

You could buy a rack full of beautiful shooters for a fraction of what one of these showpieces is worth, ha.
The rifles are excellent, but not long ago several similar ones from the Bееman collection were sold at RIA, the price was more than moderate. A nickel-plated HW-35 RDB, etc without engraving, with a numbered brass tag from the Beeman collection costs $1.5k maximum, but you can wait your whole life for a buyer. The desired price does not always become real.

Absolutely stunning craftsmanship!!! Thanks you for taking the time to share these gems. Personally, I certainly appreciate them. Functioning works of art.
Here's my only HW35.

Nice, you NEVER seem to see the 35 TH in threads/posts. Here's my Beeman marked, single side safety. According to R Beeman only a handful of Beeman HW35 TH's were ever made with a factory thumbhole stock.

These represent Investment Grade Airguns and really shouldn’t be used.
keep em in a safe or at the bank😉.

From a practical standpoint, they’re almost too ornate (ostentatious) to own.
Most of the current, Stainless models push the limits of practicality🎯.

Practicality is relative. Some guys drop millions on cars and still drive them.

I have brought my chrome RDB1 to the range/FT match to show the other guys and let any who wanted to take a few shots.

Beautiful guns! Makes me wonder if an unfired gun is worth more or would it matter that much to a high end collector?

I don't think any gun is unfired, they "should" all be tested before leaving the plant. Plus, I have said it before, how would ANYONE prove a gun is unfired OR how many shots ever went down the barrel???

If you have the time, please tell us a little about the stock. That’s an interesting cheek riser extension and I am curious how it was made.
