HW/Weihrauch Jaw-dropping HW 35's...

Let me start by saying these are NOT mine (I wish)...! They are both owned by a friend and were photographed when they sauntered past my table at the 2023 Columbus, Ohio airgun show.

FIrst up, an "RDB 1" - stamped, chrome-plated, HW 35EB - Beeman's unique version combining the European "Export" walnut stock and standard 19-inch barrel. It's one of a small number created of course for the good Dr. Robert D. Beeman himself:

And then the piece de resistance...a gold-plated, engraved masterpiece with museum-grade custom walnut thumbhole stock. Surely one of the most desirable examples of this classic in existence:

The pics of these two jewels make me sweat with unbridled envy. And actually touching them was a highlight of my airgun-geek career, LOL....

My chrome RDB 1

According to a Beeman Airgun journal- (Less than 20 factory chrome plated versions of any Beeman/HW guns exist. The very rarest versions are the ones that are factory stamped with Robert Beeman’s initials: " RDB Nr.1")

I can't imagine actually handling one of those, absolutely jaw dropping gorgeous. Do they actually get shot? Thanks for sharing Mike.

You could buy a rack full of beautiful shooters for a fraction of what one of these showpieces is worth, ha.

The rifles are excellent, but not long ago several similar ones from the Bееman collection were sold at RIA, the price was more than moderate. A nickel-plated HW-35 RDB, etc without engraving, with a numbered brass tag from the Beeman collection costs $1.5k maximum, but you can wait your whole life for a buyer. The desired price does not always become real.

Beautiful guns! Makes me wonder if an unfired gun is worth more or would it matter that much to a high end collector?

I am between 35s right now. I will have another as soon as I find the right one. Once the latch is broken in enough for repeatable lock up they shoot sooooo nice!
