This is why i would never own one of these or similar valued automobile . I would take the gold plated hunting and drive the auto to Lowes for a few bags of cement . Worth nothing to me if i don't use and enjoy them .To each his own of course, but I'd never shoot one of these!
You could buy a rack full of beautiful shooters for a fraction of what one of these showpieces is worth, ha.
Back in the HW 35's heyday as Weihrauch's top sporting rifle, the thumbhole wood was one of four factory stock options for several years. Besides the distinctive appearance, it was a true ambidextrous design.asHave never seen a 35 thumb hole stock before
I'm no expert on metal finishing, but it's typical to seal up openings so that only exterior surfaces are done.Thank you for starting this thread there are some really beautiful rifles here. Just curious though. I have a fairly rough condition HW35 no rust just old with a poor finish. I think it might be neat to get my rifle chromed. Does the chrome process also chrome the inside of the compression tube and barrel? If so does the movement of the piston scrape the chrome and produce chips? Or is there a way to just have the chrome on the external surfaces only?
