Joined the Leshiy 2 bandwagon

Should have got one a while ago. Amazing little PCP. I was very surprised by the speed consistency and accuracy out to 60 yards, it just stacks pellets (can't wait to stretch it out to 100 yards). The only complaint is that it is a bit on the louder side, though it's quieter than my RAW with the offset moderator. I would say it is the same bark as my Daystate Huntsman Revere in 22 with the short 0dB moderator.

Have a great weekend 😀

Welcome to the club! I was die hard FX, still have them, but since I got my L2 the M3 and Maverick have stayed in their cases. The semi-automatic and the ease of setting it up really won me over. Your L2 looks great and if the bark is somewhat loud Donnyfl has a 250 and 350mm kit so you can run a different moderator to quiet it down. Huma also makes one and there are a few AGN members that are making blow back shrouds that work in conjunction with other moderators as well. And of course there is the Valkyrie line that Edgun produces; lot’s of options if needed.

Enjoy your new rifle and have fun…

Maybe I've missed it but good to see you posting again. I remember your threads about riding your electric fat bike out into the woods & shooting. I do the same but hike instead of ride.

@Stoutblock has an overview of his thoughts on sound moderation for the Leshiy 2. Worth looking through his profile. I think you could also run your Kat40 along with the blow back shroud made by @Jack.K.

There is also the DonnyFL shroud but it won't fit under the hand guard. But appears to be very quick to install/uninstall for pack use.

Thank you I'll check it out. Yeah it's been a while since I have posted anything, work has me putting in a ton of extra hours. I'll be doing a bike and shoot review/shootout of the Leshiy 2, M3, and Red Wolf soon. I figured since they are roughly the same price point people might be interested.

Thank you for the tip. I just ordered the KAT40 kit from Edgunwest. I got the Huma Mod40-5 in the 25/30 caliber for clipping prevention even though I have a 22. I just hope it does a better job than the stock moderator.

welcome to the "club". in my experience with my 350mm, the huma mod40 (.22) reduced the decibel level about 15db with all the sections, or about 5db for each section, although i didn't measure much difference with the 4th section. note that the shooter will have significant sound levels with your ear near the action, versus somebody standing 5 feet away.

note these figures are only for comparative purposes, and are not meant to represent some standard of measurement because it was done inside with walls close by.

bare muzzle - 109db
stock shroud - 100db
mod40 w/1 section/endcap - 95db
mod40 w/2 sections/endcap - 90db
mod40 w/3 sections/endcap - 86db
mod40 w/4 sections/endcap - 85db

Thank you 😊 that's the answer I was hoping to get. 15dB is a significant sound reduction. I know what you mean about the mechanics sound level. My R5M has a good hammer strike but the BAT moderator makes the muzzle report mouse fart quiet.
