Some of us are geographically limited to being ‘pellet guys’ Mine are certainly not toys - just a different discipline. You could equally soundly make the argument that playing darts in a pub is pointless as an RPG would obliterate the board.

Oh cool! I’m a completely untrained shade-tree psychologist as well and maybe I can help. (I’ll do it for free just in case anyone can’t afford my services.)
You see, where you read the joke about the Gamo urban and felt like the person had a Superiority Complex- you yourself actually projected an Inferiority Complex that comes from your own self consciousness.
Come with me on a fantastical journey into imagination land. And we will imagine that you’ve spent your hard earned money on a Gamo Urban. It ends up performing poorly and you have considerable difficulty in getting customer service from the company. “NEVER AGAIN GAMO!!! You shake your fist at the sky as you throw the junk Urban in the garbage, with the chattering of the squirrels that keep getting into your attic ringing in your ears as they fearlessly mock you from the tree above your house. Now your attitude towards the Gamo Urban has some merit.
You decide to save up more money and buy something better. You don’t want to buy junk. And you do… you work hard and save money for months and months. You skip lunch at work everyday for weeks to save money. You keep on wearing that pair of underwear with a hole in them to save money. You don’t spend money on one single thing that’s not important in order to buy the thing you’ve set your sights on.
Finally the day has come that all your hard work and sacrifice has been for. Your new AGT Uragan 2 has just arrived in the mail. You are so excited that you forget about what you were just thinking about before the UPS truck stopped in front of your house… you were contemplating how that your underwear is now not much more than an elastic band around you waist that gives a casual observer the impression that you are wearing functional underwear. You grab your phone to take a picture so you can share it with the other guys on Airgun Nation.
But then…. Once you’ve posted your picture of this thing you are so proud of, your happiness is tainted when some guy just craps all over what you’ve been able to accomplish.

Don’t be that guy. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to be in this hobby, but don’t crap on guys that reach higher to attain something better. You don’t know how hard they worked to accomplish that or how long it took them to be able to afford it. Rather it would be better to admire them for their achievements.
Very often our criticism of others says more about ourselves than it does about them. It’s worth thinking about. Jealousy and envy bubble to the surface slowly and silently and we may not even realize why we feel the way we do about someone’s successes in life. Why should seeing happiness on someone else’s face make us angry? It shouldn’t.. but sometimes it does. And when it does the problem is within ourselves.
