JSB 33.96 accuracy in .22 caliber

I've been shooting squirrels a lot here lately. I have a BRK Sahara XR .22 and it shoots a lot of different pellets really well, but has a preference for AEA 18.3s and JTS 18.1s. Getting around 840 fps. The problem is the pass through on squirrels. It shoots 25.39 and 28.55s pretty well, but decided to experiment with the 33.96s just to see. All testing is at 30 yards.

The groups on the far left and bottom right corners are the 33.96s. The ones on the kings face are the JSB 20gr lights. I'm curious if there's anything I could do besides messing with the tune to tighten the 34 gr up. Weight sort, clean barrel, hold differently? Velocity is what I expected with these and they should dump a lot of energy. I just don't want to tweak the tune just for these pellets to perform when it shoots well with so many other pellets.

How far are you shooting these squirrels? You're honestly more likely to achieve what you're looking for using hunting pellets rather than these heavy 34gr.

The only airgun that I have seen anyone have good success with these pellets is the huben gk1 going around 760fps.

Edit: I apologize for the atrocious grammar my comment had 😬

Still dump tons of energy on subject with the best of them.

Try JSB Hades or H&N Barracuda Hunter Extremes. My .25 Royale loves them. RARELY, if ever, a pass through with Hades. More frequently with the H&N's but not a lot by any means. Most of my shooting is 75 yards or more & the Polymags just don't have the accuracy at distance in my guns.

Poly mags not a long distance pellet but very good out to 85 yds @ 900 fps from Alpha wolf on starlings. Loud pop and total devastating.
For a hunting pellet that is very much longer distance. I've gotten good accuracy out of them in .25 and .30 out to 80yds but never in .22, lucky you!

Anywhere from 15 yards to 60 yards

Really, try the Hades. If they work well in your gun you'll thank me. Absolutely devastating. They're THE most accurate pellet in my .25. Some guns just don't like them but if they work, THEY WORK!
EDIT: JUST realized you're shooting .22. My .22 doesn't like Hades but does like these (Barracuda Hunters). The "bucket" hollow point usually stops pass throughs. PM me if you'd like me to send you some.

I love these in .177, @Scotay42 Is shooting crow magnums out of his .22 im0act and idk how he's doing it past 50yds but they expand like he'll and don't go through most animals.

At the time I ordered 2 tins to try out the Crow Mags weren't in stock so ordered the Hunters because of similarity. Soon as the Ground Squirrels get active here we'll see. So far they've shot better than I expected on paper. MOSH (minute of squirrel head) works for me 🙂.

I've shot the crown Magnum out of my previous aea .25 varmint/standard, a d thye shot okayish, 1" at 40 but they cut clean holes in the iguanas! They sounded like slugs smacking bones

You know, that is interesting. My theory is there's not much hydrostatic shock that just shuts them down. So while a brain shot makes them dead, unless you really sever the spinal cord or pin point blow their brain stem out, they're going to thrash around a bit. It's one of the reasons why I am looking for a heavier pellet for energy dump or like you guys have suggested with the pellets you all have recommended.
