I had a really nice morning to get out and shoot my FX Royale before the wind picked up. There was just a slight breeze, maybe 2-3mph but that's about as good as it gets here. I wanted to shoot some groups at 60,75 and 80yds with some 33.94's that were sorted by weight only and some sorted by weight and sized full length to .252. At each distance my weighed and sized out performed the weighed only pellets. But.... my best group, maybe just a fluke came from the weighed only at 80yds. I had a 5 shot group of .42". It seems like sizing might cut down on a few fliers which really screws up a group. Another thing I took in consideration was that these weighed only were not the crème of the crop. They were on the lighter end of the range with a wider range of weight in that group of pellets It was some of them pellets that I was going to use to shoot through the chrony for testing. I'll try it again eventually but for now I'll stick with the double sorting method. Running the pellets through the sizing die is pretty fast anyway.
Looking at the attached pictures the upper three groups at each range were the weight and sized groups.
