JSB quality control?

I bought some JSB redesigned 25 gr. pellets and over 1/2 the tins pellets were mishapen or messed up. The coating was also more than ANY other tin of JSB pellets I have ever bought. It looks like they were floor sweeping swept up and put in a tin. I guess 1 bad tin out of 50 tins isn't bad but can't understand how THESE that had so many messed up we're let go.Anybody else get a batch this bad. And for those who say they shoot the incredible groups with unsorted or inspected right out of the tin...rrrrriiiggghhhttttt... The pic just shows SOME of the messed up pellets.

That looks to me like damage that occurs AFTER the pellet tin has been sealed. Tin being shaken and knocked around and pellets bang into each other. Head hitting the softer skirt causes it to bend.

I've had just as good accuracy with dented skirts as I have it perfect skirts. (do a search as I remember someone else posting about it too) When the blast of air hits the back of the pellet it pushes on the skirt which causes the skirt to flair back out and seal against the barrel.

If you look closely at the pellets in the pellet inspector, they have damage that would not happen by pellets hitting each other. The tin was sealed and undamaged and received packed in bubble wrap along with 9 other tins...no other tin had the over amount of coating on the pellets or damage of pellets. The pellets with the shirts caved in and bent all to hell, I do not believe could be reshaped when shot, minor stuff ok, but not as bad as some of these are.

I bought the pellets from AOA, but that has nothing to do with WHAT was inside the tin. ALL the tins we packaged great and undamaged.

Not sure why (maybe I'm interpreting your text wrong) but is seems you have an "attitude" now with JSB. Not sure you know it but Joe actually works for JSB and he is likely trying to help you out by determining the path the pellets took to you.

I tried looking closely at your photo and can't see any damage that would not have been causes by either another pellet head, or skirt getting banged together. Sorry but that's what I see.

Honestly I would try shooting the pellets. I've shoot $hitty looking JSB's and they always shoot better then perfect looking CPHP in all of my guns.

The center tin is the tin in question. I have NEVER had a tin of redesigned 25 look like this tin or have pellets so messed up. I have had tins dented up and never had pellets that LOOKED or as bad as this 1 tin. I have NO ATTITUDE with JSB, I only shoot their pellets thru my air rifles, I have 40+ tins sitting waiting to be shot and more than that I have already shot. So questioning the condition of one tin of pellets, rises to the level of a ATTITUDE towards JSB....interesting. I will keep this tin of pellets and will bring it with me to Extreme Benchrest 2019 and will GIVE it to those who say these will shoot as good as pellets not messed up...and then they can shoot them in one of their relays...for score...and show me.

I'm interested to know why the foam pad is so dirty. Just curious. JSB does have a room full of ladies who inspect the pellets...all of the pellets. It's quite the process. Honestly, it looks like someone had a go with that particular tin and shook the hell out of it. When you received that tin was the red tape seal on it?

Joe, it was sealed up with the red tape. I ordered 10 tins of pellets and it was the only tin in that shape. All the 10 tins were sealed together in a plastic wrap. The foam pad is so dirty because the pellets seem to have alot of the coating on them. You can't see to good in the pics but the pellets are black covered with the coating and not shining like all the others I have had.

Joe I received a Tin from Pyramyd a month or two back that had the same grey dusty foam. Only 1 of 14 tins looked that way! Mine were .25 JSB King Heavy MKII

I have also recieved a tin of pellets when I ordered 5 at once of the JSB 10.34g. one can was just God awful and maybe half were even usable, since then I haven't had any issues. I figured it was a fluke but maybe some simply slip through sometimes.

I have had this issue recently as well, mine were actually with EDGUN heavies MKii but I am 95% convinced it was from shipping damage as it was the top 2 and bottom 2 tins in a sleeve of 10 I suggested to Brian to split these cases into 2 boxes or overwrap in future. I think part was this is at 350 per tin of .25 heavies in a tin the packing density is tight and damage in drops is greater.... If you order a case ie a sleeve of 10 tins from EDgun west ask Brian to split or over wrap the case to avoid this.... mine would not fit in a mag they were deformed so badly... on the plus side the good ones were very good as usual for some odd reason I seem to get fewer fliers from these jsb pellets than their regular branded tins ? I have log going back a while showing this odd...I shoot out of the tin 90% btw
