JSB quality????

So I just opened a few tins of the jsb jumbo heavy 18 grain pellets, at least half in each tin have completely jacked up skirts. I have noticed a few here and there before but these were bad. What's funny is I also got some rifle premiums in 18 grain they were all but perfect. Not sure if jsb's qc is going down or it's just a bad batch but........

I really don't use pellets anymore..for that same reason you can't tune a gun for pellet because you really don't knows how tha nextbatch will be. I still have them just in case, but the most I use are slugs.. the uragans standard I have in 177 - 22 - 30 shoot slugs perfectly... the.2 .25 standard really sucks both.. now will try a vulcan 3 in .25 to see how it goes..

Yeah I'm trying to get away from them and use slugs just need to figure out which ones my rifles like if any.

I like jsbs. A few years ago i bought the big 500 tins for the buy 4 get one free or whatever from pyramid. Got around to opening one of the tins last year or year before and id say 1 in 5 had bend in the skirts.

Some slight and some pretty bad. I figured either shipping or the tin got knocked off the shelf or soemthing.

Usually jsbs shoot very well and most people love them

I believe it’s not necessarily their manufacturing but packaging and shipping. First they come in 500 piece tins. All 500 just thrown together. Then a whole bunch of these tins are packed together to be shipped. In each case weight is working against you. Jsb are also softer pellets. I know it’s not as economical but I would try the lower count 250 tins and see if the experience is better. You can also see if your gun likes others such as H&N 18.1 as they come in smaller quantities and seem more sturdy. Never had a problem with those and they shoot good out of the guns I’ve tried them in. JTS pellets are another good option.

The last JSB batch that I got, were bad! Not just bent skirts, we're talking mosh pit pellets! I think these got mixed up with grapes for wine production! Clearly Stevie Wonder is doing QC at the factory, as the packaging for shipping was really quite good! and the tins had zero dents. I bought 4 tins, Got one tin free! I had to sort through them and ended up with 3 useable tins for the cost of 4! and I received 5? 🤔 Called the vender where I bought them from and was told that I can't return opened tins. I pushed the issue and offered pictures, with how am I supposed to know if I don't open the tin? It's not like you can see the damn things! I get it! so I let it go. Sometime later, I got 2 tins of CPHP14.3gr .22 from Walmart and decided to sort through them and compare: two pellets out of a 1000! from the Crosman's, opposed to the 1000 bad out of 5000 for the JSB. For the cost of one tin of the JSB pellets, and shipping, I can get 5 tins of the Crosman's, and a soda! SO, I came up with a hustle I call a crazy tax, for me having to go to Walmart. I hate to go to Walmart! More freaks, rude, and crazy people then at the nut house! I would rather go to the dentist! ANYWAY, I charge two tins of the Crosman's per visit. I haven't bought pellets in over a year. 🤗 Nor have I bought any of the JSB'S.

This was the 250 tins, actually all but one of my guns love the rifle brand pellets, I use those the most just thought I would get some jsb's a try haven't used them in a while. Lesson learned stick with what I know lol.
