Has anybody experience these pallets being so bad on the skirts? Is this normal?

Ok I had some I had some AA 18 .22 the same way, the skirts were all bent up, I know that not normal

I ordered 5 tins of 18gn jsb’s from Utah airguns a few months back, and they all looked like that. I also had a ton of 25.39 fx pellets that looked the same. Jsb quality control has gone down the tubes. For a while I wanted to switch to slugs purely for better consistency.

Looks like the older ones with the deeper cavities... Unless you "sort" by purchasing pallets of them and then keeping the good lots and selling the bad lots, there is no way around this. The major reason that MANY top shooters are or have shifted to .25 Heavy...

I had decided to see how many shot that I could get with JSB 18.13 grain at 880 fps, I shot this today, is this a good Spread for 90 shots?

Interesting how your velocity increased. Did you refill with air at around the 40 to 45 shot mark.

The gradual upward trend suggests the hammer strike is a little light for the regulator setpoint.
Granted the string wasn’t complete yet (velocity hadn’t started tapering off yet) so we’re missing some substantiating evidence, but a light hammer strike is my best guess based on the information provided.

My FX branded 25.4s don't look too bad. There is quite a difference in skirt thickness though.

I saw a swage mold from H.Hen on the classifeds that showed some after swaging that looked awesome. Is that what you bought? Where do you get them?

I found it in a google search for pellet forming swage. A link to the classifieds on airgun nation and it showed the results. They looked perfect and I was impressed. But could not find anywhere to buy it.
