JTS 18.8 gr wadcutter 22 caliber Pellets

I got a tin of these pellets and there pretty accurate to 48 yards , (sparrow accurate) They hit hard and make a mess of the sparrows , Not sure if its the flat surface or the harder lead,
No problem loading in my Prophet II magazine and smooth shooting ,, I really cant tell the sparrow pop is any louder than the dome pellets , But they seem to jump more from the impact of the wadcutter , I knock them off the feeder with the wadcutters ,, Just FYI,,

the flat surface (meplat) makes much bigger wound channels.

And the heavy weight (18.8gr, as opposed to the typical 14gr of wadcutters), really helps to put some FPE into the cursed bodies of those sparrows.

I am glad this pellet is working out so well for both you and the sparrows. You both fulfill your destiny.

They seem accurate enough in all my 22, but I was pushing them too fast. 700fps or so seems a consistent ceiling with wadcutters.

I wanted them to work in my last Notos, but it wasn’t a match. I need to try them in my Atomic.

I forget who, but there was someone shooting them faster with good accuracy. In my mini Mrod they like just shy of 700 and will be my main pellet for low power pesting.

At the speeds you shoot I would buy a tin now. But maybe the heavy is not needed for sparrows LOL.

My question is , a sparrow does not offer much stopping absorption ,@ 700 FPS where does your pellet land ?

Leon may be in a less concerning area for pesting.

I on the other hand must use much less power. 1701 shooting around 600 with Match lights that are just shy of 8gr.

For me the 18.8s are for when on safari away from suburbia.

They work really well in my notos, they were going around 680fps.

Iguanas look like they took a whole puncher to the face. And they are about as loud as getting smacked with a slug

I did not check FPS of the 18 gr wadcutters , But my JSB 18 gr domes are running 940 FPS so it should be about the same,,
I did try videoing a while back didn't work out for me I could never get good pictures , I just gave up and sold everything..
