JTS 18gr vs JSB 20.83gr KO slugs

I was testing out the KOs to see how they compared at accuracy and drift in some wind today. Shot at a dirt bank we had about 100yds away. 3 shots with the KOs then 3 with the JTS. Group wise actually both did very well I'd say under an inch shooting out the door of my truck. KOs were about half the drift. But what surprised me is I saw the backs of every KO. They opened up so well in that dirt it's comical compared to the JTS they got some hard lead lol. Only found one of them but literally looks like I just pushed it through with a cleaning rod lol it went in about an inch and a half deep into the dirt.

Hey that's pretty damn good expansion and accuracy for just shooting around!

What did you shoot them out of?

Amazing expansion, but even more amazing is, "...under an inch shooting out the door of my truck..."
Yeah I've had lots of practice lol have a sandbag I rest on the window sill. I can get surprisingly steady that way. No where near as steady as a proper setup but I'm not going to lie sometimes I feel I can shoot better like this than properly setup with a tripod and rear bag. Also the gun being extremely accurate doesn't hurt.

I feel you on this, 60% of my shooting now is from a car window. It used to be closer to 80%. What better protection from the elements than a 1.5+ ton vehicle lol.
Nice! Make sense that the .216 shoots were out of that rifle, from my experience cz barrels like .216

Ok so I changed the tune on my Vet. Previously was shooting 920fps with JTS 18gr which put the 20.83gr Lights at 870fps and 20.83gr KOs at 820fps. I bumped it up to 950fps with 18gr which puts the 20.83gr Lights at 900fps and 20.83gr KOs at 850fps. I'm curious to see the groupings after the change. If it's worse I'll back it back down but we'll see.

I'm looking forward to hearing if you notice any accuracy changes. I've tried the Lights between 925 and 850fps. They are most accurate in my barrel between 870 and 900fps. I've been shooting them for a while at 870fps because I like the shot cycle more, but I think it may be slightly more accurate at 900fps. I've tried shooting at an indoor range at 870fps and need to do it again with the Lights at 900fps.

Oh for sure. Only reason I want to try Is we are now entering our windy season so plan on using the slugs for the most part now. Today is 25mph winds so I'm not shooting but rest of the week is 10-15mph so much more doable and slug should be much better than what I'm used to. I'm not worried about how it'll shoot the 18gr as I'll have another gun to shoot the 18gr and handle my 50yds and in pesting.
