I just bought mine. Still a slight ping in it but not to bad I'm not sure if there's a depinger or not but not to loud at all.I'm pulling my .22 out of the safe and going to be using it for a barn gun. Is quite a nice gun for sure. Getting a red dot for it now. Mines a prototype though. Heard the new ones have depingers?
Is this a standard airacuda you are testing? I have the max and I wouldn't call it powerful either, I am getting about 40 shots per fill at 45 fpe and it is accurate, very accurate actually. I took it out to 100 yards and it surprised the hell out of me with hades. My next step is to polish the barrel and leave the tune where it is. I love the rifle for the money, leaves some things to be desired but definitely not at its price point.Just got done with initial testing with the settings it came with. Quiet and Powerful? Don’t really agree with that. It’s definitely not loud but it isn’t quiet. It’s not powerful but it’s spot on with what a .25 should be shooting pellets in 2023. Shot count at its current setting is almost 30 shots. Won’t be chasing any more power, but I might be chasing down a different hammer spring. Get some hammer free flight to get the shot count up over 30 shots. Hammer bounce with the stock gun is minimal. For the money, it’s a great gun. If it was $800 I wouldn’t have anything bad to say about it.
This seems to be a .22 thing, my buddies .22 max does this and it drives me absolutely bonkers!!!. My .25 is as quiet as can be when it comes to hammer spring, the two rifles have a distinctively different sound. However the hammer spring makes a weird springy sound on most shots as it un coils. Mildly annoying but it’s a 400 dollar gun.
