JTS AIRACUDA .25 IS SOLID💯

I'm pulling my .22 out of the safe and going to be using it for a barn gun. Is quite a nice gun for sure. Getting a red dot for it now. Mines a prototype though. Heard the new ones have depingers?
I just bought mine. Still a slight ping in it but not to bad I'm not sure if there's a depinger or not but not to loud at all.

Mine delivered this morning. It is ok is all I will say. It is accurate and shoots a consistent velocity. Pushing 18 gr in the high 860’s to mid 870’s. However the hammer spring makes a weird springy sound on most shots as it un coils. Mildly annoying but it’s a 400 dollar gun. The cocking feels cheap and is super easy to double feed and really think you didn’t load a pellet when you did. Don’t know why but I almost did it at least three times. Luckily I second guessed myself and removed the mag and fired the shot that was in there that I didn’t think was. It’s like you barely have to move the handle to actuate the action even though the rest of the cocking procedure is very long. The biggest negative is the barrel/receiver/scope rail don’t line up well. Verified with two different scopes. It of the box it shot very high and very right. With my 1” tube scope I actually had to max both windage and elevation to zero at 50. Then I put a 30mm on and it still shot high right but was able to zero and still have a decent amount of adjustment. However I don’t know if this will throw shots off at non zeroed distances. I think this is a price point issue as I found the same thing with my avengers only they shot very low. Jury is still out on wether I’m keeping it.

Just got done with initial testing with the settings it came with. Quiet and Powerful? Don’t really agree with that. It’s definitely not loud but it isn’t quiet. It’s not powerful but it’s spot on with what a .25 should be shooting pellets in 2023. Shot count at its current setting is almost 30 shots. Won’t be chasing any more power, but I might be chasing down a different hammer spring. Get some hammer free flight to get the shot count up over 30 shots. Hammer bounce with the stock gun is minimal. For the money, it’s a great gun. If it was $800 I wouldn’t have anything bad to say about it.

Is this a standard airacuda you are testing? I have the max and I wouldn't call it powerful either, I am getting about 40 shots per fill at 45 fpe and it is accurate, very accurate actually. I took it out to 100 yards and it surprised the hell out of me with hades. My next step is to polish the barrel and leave the tune where it is. I love the rifle for the money, leaves some things to be desired but definitely not at its price point.

This seems to be a .22 thing, my buddies .22 max does this and it drives me absolutely bonkers!!!. My .25 is as quiet as can be when it comes to hammer spring, the two rifles have a distinctively different sound.

It’s a Max. It’s shooting a 25.39 at 895fps and a Hades right around 878fps. The gun is pretty dead in the bags and it showed last night at 75 yards. Tiny groups with the pellet it likes the most. I’m not even going to mess with the trigger. It wasn’t holding me back poking holes in paper so it will be fine for him to hunt with.

I took the barrel band off of mine and tossed it in the box. I did gain some elevation adjustment back. Performed very well with jts pellets at 45 yards in a good stiff breeze, better than I anticipated. The pic is 10-12 shots. Super consistent reg with all shots 872-879 this morning. Def a winner so far for 400.
