JTS JTS airacuda max.25. Leak from air gauge.

Hey,
I have a friend who just got the airacuda max in.25. When he got it he said there was a slow leak from the pressure gauge area. After filling a few times the leak has become worse and the gun won’t hold air now. He already checked the bleeder screw and tightened the gauge down.
Any ideas or folks who have had similar issues?
This is his first PCP, he’s pretty handy and would rather fix it himself if possible than pay for shipping. Would rather buy parts if possible an know how to fix it than just send it back.
Thanks!

Funny, but I just pulled out my Fairly new .25 Aracuda Max and the air tank is empty. Also looking for remidies to the situation. THANK YOU in advance

A YouTube contributor, 45Bravo, has several excellent Airacuda Max repair videos, check them out. Small, white Delrin "donut" washer seals gauge to gun. Video demonstrates gauge removal; MAX comes with spare Delrin washers in parts bag. If gauge threads are stripped or cross-threaded, return gun for replacement or refund. I prefer to repair rather than return, as well, been struggling with a MAX .25 since October 2022, learned a lot but what a disappointment. WM

Air it up and use a spray bottle of soapy water to find leak. Remove shroud assembly and tie balloon to muzzle to see if leaking internally. WM
Thank you for the info Sir. You said balloon and my air brain thought tie balloon to hold gun up or what? Then realized what a great idea it was. More than one way to tie a balloon.

Just passing on a helpful tip picked up on the forum. Shroud threads into receiver, installers used thread locker so heat gun or hair dryer might be needed to gently soften, no need to risk damage by forcing. WM
