JTS JTS Airacuda MAX - Moderator adapter cap is stuck

I have just received my Airacuda MAX.

I cannot remove the cap from the moderator adapter.
I tried various pliers, heat gun, penetrating/cleaning fluid, etc

Applying too much force with pliers would destroy the thread.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to remove the cap?

I sent an email to [email protected], since he was doing the warrranty service for these airguns.

I'm sure Travis will be by shortly but that is no longer a moderator adapter, it was abandoned after the defect of misalignment was broadcast.

You would have to torch that fitting to break that bond, I'm guessing it was permanent locktite.

Look at DonnyFL for an adapter.

Sadly, it's no longer returnable since you set pliers on the cap.

Wow

The Airacuda MAX are still sold as having a moderator adapter, as opposed to the Airacuda Standard which does not have one.

Could do WTB in Member Classifieds. Anybody switching to DonnyFL MAX adapter will have end cap and thread protector laying around.
The air rifle is 2 days old.

I fully expect JTS and Xisico to send me a working moderator adapter.

If they do not do that, I will write many posts, reviews, etc on every air gun site around.
Those posts will not be flattering.

Thought I was up to date on Airacuda MAX, apparently not, first I'd heard of permanent glue on thread protector. Went with DonnyFL $50 adapter, forced out-of-round shroud and muzzle in alignment, just louder now that baffles and air stripper were removed. WM

Honestly, Travis does not care if you post against it, you only look petty when you throw a fit.

Try again with JTS, I have the address.

I have sent emails to travis.xisicousa.com and also to the Xisico's email [email protected].

I am not throwing fits.
I just want to get what I paid for.

So far the only issue is that there is no working moderator adapter in the Airacuda MAX.

Lucky you, I'm on fourth problem. First, installer didn't tighten stack bolt, next, magazine wouldn't fit, third, shroud out-of-round, fourth, valve spring "self-tightened" till valve broke. Thanks to 45Bravo's "how-to" repair videos, and JTS sending warranty parts, been able to work through. Currently burned out on MAX so just sits on gun rack. WM

I have only encountered one issue but haven't done much yet.

So far I have only filled the air gun and 24 hours later is still holding at 3300PSI.
I have not adjusted anything yet.
It is shooting 17.6 grain pellets around 870-900 FPS, and only shot about 10 pellets so far.

It is loud so I will print my LDC overnight and do actual shooting tomorrow.
