Me too!I used a green 3M stripping pad and cleaned off the excess stain and refinished with Tru-Oil.
Hammer bounce, over dwelling valve and such .... Without appropriate pressure to make required velocity, all one is doing is going round-N-round looking for a stand out moment when something changes getting your attention.Has anyone upgraded the hammer spring to a heavier one on the .22 max if so what were the results?
I'm asking because I put a stiffer hammer spring in my .22 avenger and it went from 40 ft lbs to 45 ft lbs with 18.13 gr pellets.Hammer bounce, over dwelling valve and such .... I could see that if the reg pressure was initially a tad to high for the OEM spring/hammer combo to maximize poppet lift to gain the flow.I'm asking because I put a stiffer hammer spring in my .22 avenger and it went from 40 ft lbs to 45 ft lbs with 18.13 gr pellets.
What was your regulator pressure?Well, I get right at 40 shots before acurracy is gone. 3200 psi does pretty good. I had pellet clipping at first, but I aligned the stack in the shroud, tightened it and now it’s a tack driver.
