Max .25 filled to 3200psi on known accurate fill wand gage falls off reg at 26shots. No problems so far

Hammer bounce, over dwelling valve and such .... Without appropriate pressure to make required velocity, all one is doing is going round-N-round looking for a stand out moment when something changes getting your attention.

I'm asking because I put a stiffer hammer spring in my .22 avenger and it went from 40 ft lbs to 45 ft lbs with 18.13 gr pellets.

I could see that if the reg pressure was initially a tad to high for the OEM spring/hammer combo to maximize poppet lift to gain the flow.
Each PCP will have a different poit in which it's power potential is met.
Port sizes, Pressure & Plenum volume if regulated, Hammer weight, Spring rate & Hammer stroke all become part of the equation if one starts going down the tuning and alteration path

There are a lot of knocks on this platform and maybe I just got a good one. I got my 22 out today. Haven’t shot it for probably close to a year. First shot was 875 and only a couple more had it settled into a consistent low 880’s. Impressive.

I have the max in 25cal. Using fx hybrids I get 2 1/2 mags, usable shots hunting. I don’t have a chronograph, but according to Air Gun Depot they’re shooting around 870. Does good for squirrel. You’re buying for hunting and get a sling.
