I was out testing my side shot and old phone, getting it dialed in. I went in for some dinner and came out to grab the rig and put it away. We'll I noticed this guy having out at the feeder and took a shot. I completely forgot I was low on air and I believe I went low. It hit, just don't think it killed him.

Couldn't find him or a blood trail. Bummer.

Rig used was my np03 bottle gun I'm still finishing up. I'll post later about that.

The gun in question

22 cal 11" barrel with a modified huma shroud off a BSA scorpion. It's stupid quiet, the microphone makes it sound worse. Quietest gun I own currently. Set up for 24 fpe with Hades/Atomic.

Making the stock from parts of a gen 1 Mrod, the breech housing section from my old mega stock, and the fore grip area is 1/4" wood with Fiberglass shaping. Probably do a hammer finish paintjob on this one. It's too heavy to walk around with, so it'll be the sit and shoot gun I suppose.

I hate to break it to you but you hit where you were aiming. Some squirrels are on PCP and can take a hit and boogie. It caught up with him though. He’s belly up somewhere. Probably in his house.

I slowed it down even more and it definitely hit low left but still hit vitals. I have my zero a little higher than the center X for vertical compensation. It should've hit him between shoulders just below the neck line.

I will get out there tomorrow early and with a full fill. If he ain't dead yet, he will be in the morning. They always come back, even with a pellet in them.

My garden is starting to take off, and with the heat, I don't want them chewing holes in each and every tomato just to get one drink.
