Held our monthly FT match in Concord, on a glorious Father's Day. Had a few Father's presents , and everyone attending had a Father, so it seemed appropriate to come together and pull some triggers.
Had a first time shooter come out and borrow a rifle along with the usual suspects, quality people throughout.
Forecast was for strong variable winds and the forecast didn't disappoint it would blow north until it blew south. Enough head winds to depress a pellet or tail winds to lift it a few millimeters. Theo and I had laid out the pre painted targets last nite on carts for deployment, with a mix of big to small for each lane. Kevin got out early today, God bless his heart, and put smalls out where the bigs should be and the bigs seemed to have blown away. With some minor adjustments we played them as they lay, leading to either some satisfying knockdowns or a very low scoring lane for the punter. We had plenty of targets (62) and lots of laughs- thats why we come out, so mission accomplished!
