I took a HW80 .177 to initiate and set the sights on scope. Sighted in about 6 shots. Take a shot then make an adjustment, then another on and on. I’m sitting on a Stable Table just pumping away, not catching on my cheek position changed dramatically.

BKL mounts and they were tight. Guess not tight enough. 95% of the time I use stop pins. Lesson learned. 30-40 rounds. Crow

What torque did you set those base screws ?

I don’t use a torque wrench. When I asked on forum, most said not necessary to get one.
Do you recommend one?

Your correct on the rings. I should of known better. Read about the 80 on this forum a dozen times. I just got these BKL thought I would try.
Thanks Crow

I think the torque screwdriver is a good idea. The one piece BKL on my Feinwerkbau 124D hasn't moved at all and it's without a stop pin. And it's a 12.4 ft lb average rifle. The unit I have. Made in 🇨🇦

Brought back some chuckles as a similiar thing happened to me way back when I first started in airguns. Our scope mounts were of a poorer quality then. In time I learned about Sportsmatch mounts and have used them ever sense. One of the first set of Bushnell rings I mounted, the entire scope and rings came off on the first shot !!

Almost filled my diaper. I wasn’t far off. When I got the rifle order in Jan. I got 6-7 sets of BKL. Read here nothing negative. Here’s a 97 doing the same thing, not as severe.

Every rifle I have had stop pins up to the BKL’s. I’ll replace them. Live and learn. Crow

In my writings, when referencing piston guns, and/or their mechanicals, and/or their firing behavior(s), I've often used the term "mechanical violence". OOPS... just did again!

Do you believe me now?

Oh ya! The perfect word choice. Hard to believe it moved that much that quick. I’ll be at AGS in about a hour and a half, hopefully he will have some stronger scope mounts. Crow
