Ballistics and retained energy of the .25 Kings and the 15.5 .177 slugs. Look at the energy at 100 and beyond. Look at the vertical... Just interesting. I shoot the .25 Kings at 855 and the .177 slugs at 926.
You got the point of my post. There simply is no comparison. If the .177 slugs compare to .25 pellets like this, it is pretty clear that in the same caliber the gap will only increase... dramatically.
That said, I still prefer pellets inside of 80 yards
Here's part of a 60 yard test I did last spring. I found that once all the info. was listed together some things started to stand out. To me anyway. The amount of energy/velocity lost at only 60 yards by diablo designs compared to slugs starts to really show. The 5+ FPE at the muzzle for the 33.95gr. is eye catching. I just found the bracketed area shows me what only 60 yards of air does to each pellet/slug.
