Just found my old Silver Streak.

How would I find the year made? I also remember having a Blue Streak but have no idea what happened to it. Looks like maybe a serial number 1792A

Thanks for any help on this!

Nice. Get the latex paint off with warm water and a little dish soap. Rub it down lightly with some fine steel wool and do the Minwax Antique oil treatment. A coat or two. Follow the directions, it's very easy and you won't get any dirt or lint in it. Easiest finish I've used. Not refinished, restored.
Thank you KWK! I sure will.

Hey Joey,

At a close look, I think that number is 1791 A. That would make month and year of manufacture January of 1971. Glad to see that it doesn't have the shimmed rear sight as they tend to have barrel separation problems. Congrats on getting it back in your hands!

Cheers,

J~
Yes Sir I was late. You beat me to it.

Hi new here. Been lurking a bit but decided to say hi. Boy that rifle sure brings back memories. Loved that rifle. Bought it when I was 15 or 16. Ended up giving it to a friend when I moved away. I regret not keeping it to this day. Nice to know you all still have em and are just as fond of them as I am.

I wonder if my old friend still has it??
track it down or grab and another one.
they are awsome guns.
