Just pray for me...

Hang in there Toast, share the load if you can…
Well...been staying with my last living grandparent. Last night my Last living uncle told me I'd been there too long, complained that my.house wasn't done, etc. So I got all my stuff into my house and spent the night there.

Never easy taking a beating from family, delivered by hand or mouth. Is your Uncle's first name Jack by chance? (hopefully you get the joke here )

Getting older isn't easy as we lose friends and family members that we cherish and hold dear. Hopefully you shared some memorable moments with your grandparent. Rest easy pal.

Does your city/township have any programs that help a bit with those bills? Something to maybe look into if you qualify.

I can pay the bills. It's just that I've torn everything apart and the old pipes need replaced. But I'm living paycheck to paycheck trying to get supplies and working on the house while having a full time job

The way prices been around here for the past 2-3 years I feel for ya dude..

I built some pellet traps out of burn pile stuff / boards instead of new lumber yard . Stuffs near triple then 5 years ago when things were megagood times. Lot a projects on hold due to stupid cost.

Well stay healthy and stay popped in here more often..

Right, no shame in asking for help though. My city happily helps individuals / families who make less than 3k a month. So anyone making less than 19.25$ an hour in my city qualifies for example. As Hateful Mcnasty said with the cost of living these days, it's not always easy and many are skimming by week by week or paycheck to paycheck. Stay well brother!

Got electricity. No water or gas though yet. Got a small space heater. Bed and blankets. It dipped down to 41 inside last night but it was low 20s outside.
we all have to be thankful, I almost lost my snap food because someone made a mistake.. this economy is terrible and I hope you get water and gas soon.. we are fortunate not to be living under a bridge.. I feel for the homeless people but a lot are by choice and drugs here.. and unfortunately our government is cruel.. they waited until a hard freeze and then seized everything the homeless had and forced the warming shelters to stay closed and blocked the church from giving out warm meals and I don't know the total death count but it was over 30 died of hypothermia..
sad state our country is in.. I'll try not to say more..

New breaker box. Old wiring taken out. Garage usable for my car. Bathroom almost all demo'd. Garage roof sealed up. Kitchen and living room pretty much all demo'd. Behind Garage cleaned up. Front yard curb found again. House roof sealed up.
